Fircoal was correct that I had indeed played here before, I simply had forgotten that I had. Am I really going to be docked for mishandling something that I dabbled with infrequently 8+ years ago?

I did a forum search under mafia games for his username and found the game that they were in. Fircoal was running the game if I am not mistaken. I was not going to give all the details cause one game doesnt matter for another but for my flavor of knowledge, this proved they were aware and I was not picking on anyone.

After rereading, both djfireside and nagerous were relatively quick to jump on this, almost like they were trying to start a bandwagon. Not the most concrete but it is the most suspicious thing I could find. So which one is more suspicious?

If DDS is already going to be underplaying his mafia credentials here the question is why?

Now, there are two things on the agenda here: 1) Has DDS played before, is he allowed to have forgotten, and does it even matter; and 2) Are dj and Nag scummy for voting and fossing respectively.

In terms of 1), I don't think there's anything to it at all. Whether or not someone remembers having played here 8 ish years ago doesn't seem alignment indicative to me. In terms of 2), I can understand why dj is going with something, anything in this snail paced game. So he gets a pass too. Usually, I would agree that Nag looks uncommittal in order to wash his hands if we offed DDS eventually. However, I thought so in the last game I played with Nag, too, and I was awfully wrong. So in my view, he's playing to his meta. Basically, I'm dismissing either side of this.

Just got to nip down for breakfast before the entire hotel turns up. I'll be back with a vote in an hour or tonight.

In a game of no info and no posting, you make what info you can. Voting someone even for no good reason is a way to test their reaction (do they get defensive etc), how other people react to the vote (do people jump in to defend, do they try to start a wagon on me etc) and so forth. It's also a way to see whether someone is actually lurking or simply not around. Someone not around won't respond, lurkers respond to votes on themselves pretty quick.

In any case, I'm more interested in Chu now. He's playstyle matches that of pokemon mafia, along with that he's given soft defences for weak cases that won't go anywhere anyway (No one is really going to punish a guy for forgetting he played 9 years ago, surely) while seemingly finding it strange that I may test reactions for undisclosed reasons. I don't think he should be a stranger to reaction testing.

When I first read i thought it certainly worthy of a FOS however at that point I hadn't realised that it was 8 years ago we were talking about but thought it maybe more recent this is why when I quizzed Fireside above who actually looked it up if he saw that it was 8 years ago AND also I note only worthy of a FOS not a vote. Are all people who use the FOS scummy then your eyes.. I didn't feel it worthy of committing a vote at that moment in time

I didn't even know how long ago (or even if I had indeed played here) it was, so I did what any other person would normally do. Back track and check, which leads me to my next point.

While I'm happy we came to the conclusion that I played 8 some odd years ago after I mentioned it, the question is; if you saw before anyone else here how long ago it was, wouldn't you post it earlier? Or why wouldn't Fircoal post it after this whole thing blew out of proportion? Fircoal knew but more than likely didn't think anything of it initially, but naggy and yourself took it too far.
