According to the 'Fairylot precedent' thread-jacking of spam-threads with mindless spam is ok, because they were created with spam in mind, even if the brand of spam that the hijacker is purveying is an entirely different one to that invited by the original poster.
After all, that's a paraphrase of what you yourself said to justify why your actions in Spamalot over the last week weren't thread jacking.
Unless of course the precedent to be gleaned from the 'Fairylot' incident was: 'Mods make entirely arbitrary distinctions about what is and isn't thread-jacking depending upon how they are feeling, and whether they want the thread-jacking to succeed or not'.
Just let me know which one is correct so that I can do the right thing next time; after all, the Funny Farm is serious business...
