They are correct. This game does not qualify for this month's challenge.

Hope everyone is enjoying the New Year so far.

I have an observation ....

Why are the Platinum games being awarded ANY medal let alone a special one worth even more than the others?

The games do not even qualify according to the list of conditions listed to earn this month's Medal.

To qualify the games MUST be STANDARD, therefore the settings for most of the Platinum games do not qualify. I do not see anything in the instructions where there are exceptions to this STANDARD Setting rule.

EDIT: The problem related to the Platinum NOT being awarded automatically could also be related to my observation that they do not qualify as per the conditions listed in the 1st post.

Close, but not quite. The exception was explicitly stated by providing a list of platinum games and the token value. As we are still working through some technical difficulties with the platinum tokens no additional platinum games will be added this month. When used in the future we will use an improved system for distributing the information about which games qualify for the list.

Now I intended to come in here and mumble something about how the Platinum List is really just a covert name for our friendly neighborhood pantry. However, I think ConfederateSS nailed the approved solution this month so I'll leave it with him.
