TeamCC Callout: Clan Director Position(s)

• The Clans Team is looking for a few good men or women to serve as Volunteer Clan Directors.
  Candidates applying should have a high activity on Conquer Club/within Clans and be familiar enough with rules and procedures to answer some basic questions. Additionally, candidates should have a cool-head and calm demeanor, and be eager to help take the Clans Dept. to the next level.
  An ideal candidate would also be willing to Skype group chat (text, not voice or video) w/ the other Clan Directors from time to time.
  Don't be dissuaded however if you don't meet some of these requirements. For example, We also need individuals who can provide a different perspective, so even being relatively inexperienced in the clan arena could be an asset if you're interested in helping new Clans prosper.
  Depending on the level of response, we may hold a small interview or follow up PM to get a better feel or ask some additional questions.

A little bit of everything there, yes someone is leaving the team (to be announced Jan 1st), however the callout is likely not going to directly fill that persons position. Still ongoing thoughts about the position / structure this person will fill, but will likely get trained in all areas and help reduce workload for now / assist with projects until a more firm assignment is selected.

It will also depend on our applicants, where their interests lie, and where there skill set is etc. I prefer to find someone passionate about an area and have them focus there, then find someone willing to volunteer only to squash any drive or desire to volunteer by placing them in an area they have no interest in participating in.

So, as such its a pretty open callout. As it said, we are looking for volunteers to serve the clan community in some aspect.
Utilize the "objective" area of the application if theres a particular area of interest you prefer, or are willing to be on multiple fronts, etc.

No, I think Team Members should be able to discuss diverse opinions amongst each other. The Team today will change from the Team tomorrow. If prospective team members can't work with someone, it's probably not a good fit. If the applicant can't work w the team members on a common goal, how will they deal with members of the public that they don't get along with? No, applicants need to be able, willing, and have the mental maturity / fortitude to handle working with most if not all people. You don't get to choose which members of the playing public join clans, so at some point you're going to have to be able to handle disagreements or disagreeable people as a member of the team.

Even if I say who is leaving, whose to say there won't be a new team member in the future that you'll need to work with that might have prevented you from applying?

Besides, applicants don't get the job on the 31st. There will still be a follow up discussion, possible interview, and final decision that will take place after and if for whatever reason the person we select has a problem with a member on the team, they can voice a concern or choose to not take the position at that time.

We'd have to enter RL to win it and right now with CC, CL, and Clan Poly it would've been too much. Plus I'm not a big fan of random games. I mean I could get stuck with Doodle Earth or worse Classic.
