-----------DURING THIS THOUGH...This player was told of a RULE...If someone leaves for more than 30 days...Their account becomes dead...(But if someone takes their turn,will they still show up on the score board?)...
-----------This player account sitting should be held in high regards for keeping sportsmanship and fair play alive and well...Not be dragged through the mud. BY A (LACK)luster rule...Yes,I said it.

So you think its ok for someone to disappear, and have a much better player sitting for them for an indefinite period of time?
Hell, somebody could start a tournament, disappear, and have someone else finish and win the tournament for them? Thats proper sportsmanship, allowing someone else potentially much better than the player winning tournaments for them? Thats fair to who?

At some point, its no longer "that player" playing. The line was drawn at 30 days and after that, you have to get subbed out of a tournament etc and all games finished up.

Someone who's away for a month is not likely just on vacation. He's probably lost interest in the site. He might come back one day or he might not, but it's ridiculous to keep his account active just on the chance that he might come back one day.

--------NOW as to your first Q...How is a win earned when someone turns freemium???...They can't play...But they get matched up to a person...Who then gets a free win...Where I have to fight someone still playing in the next round of play...

I think it's just a matter of where one draws the line. Admittedly the vast majority of holidays are no more than two weeks, but I have colleagues with families in other countries who disappear for 3 weeks or even a month at a time. You also have the issue of serious illness.
The problem then comes that if you allow for 5 weeks, there will be someone away for 6, and so on. I think sitting for 30 days is a reasonable practical limit; given the alternatives of deadbeating, turning neutral, ending the game for all and bots, I see sitting as the least bad solution to keep games going and get people to return.
