Re: New Medal for Players Who Have Remained Continually Acti
How about a New Medal for Players Who Have Remained Sexually Active?
If you've been taking turns for four hours, and your wife hasn't walked out on you, and you still have the energy to get it up, you deserve a medal.

How about a medal for logging in? or staying logged in? It could be in the shape of a log. The longer you stay logged in the bigger your log.
My log is bigger than yours

Gold for.. 7 years?
- really interesting number, the real hard core, more than a thousand of us?
Platinum for.. !0 years?
- no one eliglble now but soon, soon?

I agree, these are good settings and goals.
How do you determine active? At least 1 game finished per year

I guess there's a problem with that idea. For some people, participation will mean participating in getting them medals, rather than participating in the community.Sey69 wrote:Medals for participation.
NO medals for absenses.
the idea is to support participation.

Sym is already trying to finagle out of the obvious conclusion that he is a non-participatory, no-playing piece of troll waste.

There's a dozen other forums where you can troll Sym to your heart's content. Please take it there and out of here.Thorthoth wrote:Sym is already trying to finagle out of the obvious conclusion that he is a non-participatory, no-playing piece of troll waste.

I don't think people are going to remain here simply for this medal. But, I do think it's an incentive to stick around more than you might normally.
That's a good question. I would be of the mind that 1 is too few, but maybe it's too many? Should it be solely based on games? Maybe it should be based on logins? Games and/or posts? I don't know.xroads wrote:How do you determine active? At least 1 game finished per year

Re: New Medal for Players Who Have Remained Continually Acti
I'll throw this in as a last comment on participation- the forums throw up all kinds of games, arguments, suggestions and challenges that don't involve traditional map-play.
A challenge like arguing a position in the GD forums can be a part of the community. Making a suggestion, chatting, posting new points of view, helping a new player...
There are a lot of ways that people can be active on CC. Games are a big part, but they aren't the only part. I'll leave it at that, as this is the Suggestions thread, and anyone who feels that I'm wrong because of who I am has other avenues for spleen-venting.
