That song depicts you mitch... that's while I'm still on you...
And that's called meta. But nevermind, seems like people don't get me for real so let go ahead and lynch BuJaber who I think is town.A little late for all the things you didn't say
I'm not sad for you
But I'm sad for all the time I had to waste

f*ck! 1st you call me scum ,now you want to sing to me
no wonder I'm mad

Seriously any more than this and I am at risk of quoting the PM.... Name is James I .. I'm Kind James I.
Governor protects a player from getting lynched after the hammer. Like I said I can't protect myself.
I feel that town would have been satisfied with me claiming King based on the theme.. Dilly dallying about and keeping the spotlight on me is a scum thing to do.. Either lynch me or talk about something else because at this point only town is suffering.

dakky you want to explain this statement? cause it seems like you want to lynch bujaber because you think he is town which is most definitely something a scum would do.dakky21 wrote: And that's called meta. pending your response vote dakky
as for bujaber's claim im inclined to believe him, mostly because its a major role and nobody has yet come forward to challenge it.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
Sorry. Double post.
2) The King of England "just" having a govenor role seems weird to me. Unless, of course, one thinks of it as a king's pardon which might make sense.
@BuJ, is it a one-off or can you do this throughout the game?
1) No reason to fish for information when you put it all out there for everyone to see. Several agreed with me.BuJaber wrote:I wanted to wait until L-1 because the person hammering AFTER I already said I will claim at L-1 will be definitely scum. But since most of you want me to here it goes:
I'm the King of England.
Ragian is scum. I suspect him a lot in every game I've played with him so far. That means I probably give him more attention than most. I feel confident my reads on him are improving with time. People who are highly analytical and strategic like him tend to need more to go on. He is also very deliberate in his voting. However, this time he voted incredibly quickly. First post joke vote, second vote on me. No sharing of thoughts in between or fishing for info. I don't know yet who the others are.
Me voting mitch was a very calculated move. I can't read dakky very well. I think I do better reading other people. By voting with dakky I wanted to indirectly see what people thought of him and mitch. My logic is not always understood though and that's understandable. It does mean I am seen as scum more often. The best I've ever gotten was "undecided". I don't care about playing safe. I try to win as fast as possible. I do tend to keep things to myself until absolutely necessary though. I might get lynched now so I had to point you in the direction of Ragian.
Hotshot you honestly think this is jumpy/nervous? That surprises me. I thought I came out calm because I am calm as I'm writing these. In any sense, innocent people tend to get more angry than the guilty when accused; part of human psychology. I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but generally speaking when I've played in real life when townies get accused they are often more vocal or get more personal when defending themselves. (I don't feel like I did that, but maybe that's what you're reading). Also no reason to vote for me now to push me to claim.. yelling at me or pressuring me would have worked. Therefore I'm leaning scum for you too. FOS Hotshot.
Wing - have you officially replaced ptlowe? I assume yes since you shared your opinion.
Unvote Vote Ragian

Major role? Really? Maybe people never used it properly in the games I've played, then, but I don't think it's a major role.gregwolf121 wrote:as for bujaber's claim im inclined to believe him, mostly because its a major role and nobody has yet come forward to challenge it.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
Governor is not a major role; King of England is, themewise. It's unlikely that the King is not in the game, so one would expect a counterclaim, assuming King is town.Ragian wrote: Major role? Really?
Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
Surely, BuJ would be counterclaimed if he was lying... Unless this is a clever scheme to fish out the king for their nightkill? I just can't seem to shed that nagging feeling that it's wrong for the king just to be a governor... I just hate it when people are accused and then go, "This was all part of my masterplan that you mere mortals won't understand." Obviously, we could force BuJ to prove his claim by having him save someone. It's just a waste of a day and information, I feel...

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
What do you think of the claimed king being a governor?

Re: Feudalism Mafia, Sign-ups 11/15
@ BuJaber , you made this statement and then you said Ragian is your major scum pick,I think thee protests to much, I also think Wings ideal about you and Dakky being scum has some merit, but GregWolf also has a point,no one has denied your claim as King. The question is though, Is the King role in this game an important one or is the bomber the major role? I am going to leave my vote where it is and if you are not scum then Dakky mBuJaber wrote:Ragian clearly a townie this game
ust be. His last statement really was wanting you to hang but keeping his hands clean. If you turn out to be scum he will say I told you guys to hang him,and if you are innocent he will say that is why I didn't vote because I knew he wasn't scum. He is a tricky bastard just the type that would blow up or plot the bombing.

2) By putting the word "unlikely" in my post, I indicated that it was at least possible that this logic is incorrect. Therefore when you say "except" and then give a possible reason why it is wrong, that is not helpful, as I already considered the possibility that it was wrong in my post, hence the use of the word "unlikely" and not "impossible."
Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
@Mitch, why are you quoting something from the pregame banter to set up BuJaber? That makes you look bad.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
@ Ragian just trying to understand his thinking, also Mets is right the mod didn;t say that not even in his upcoming games annoucemeNT
Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
You can't include that in "his way of thinking" as it has nothing to do with the game. It was a pregame joke.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
Mitch seriously.. I don't know if you're scum or just desperate to find anything. That comment was made way before the game even started. I didn't even have a role then. I can't not FOS you now.
An exposed governor is pretty useless unless I'm literally so sure of myself that I go against everyone else. I have confidence in myself but I wouldn't alienate my fellow townies without being very sure. So basically if I even survive I won't be much help role-wise.
No reason to hide anything since I'm already playing with my cards face up: so no I have no additional powers. My power is unlimited though so I could potentially use it every time a lynch vote is reached.
Not sure how historically accurate william wants this to be.. but as far as I know the King/Queen of England is not as influential in the government as Parliament is. The gunpowder plot which this is supposedly referencing was about blowing up Parliament. I don't know if the King would have necessarily been one of the targets, but regardless I don't think I'm supposed to be a "major" role.
Remember mod said everyone will have a role in this one; governor seems like a good mild power to give that is just a small step above vanilla.
This Mets - Wing thing is interesting. I'm not sure I fully understand the point Mets made but he seems genuine.

Re: Random Historical Mafia: Day 1, The Letter of Conspiracy
If we can believe you, then this might not be as trivial a power as it seems. Especially if you're mafia and if we really are running on a countdown. One or two cancelled lynches, and we're that much closer to Nov 5 with no flip to work on. I really think that might be broken, so if you are governor, I would be inclined to believe that you are, in fact, town. To clarify, though - how long after the hammer do you have to PM the mod to cancel a lynch? Is there a twilight phase to the game? Or does the mod just postpone the lynch scene?BuJaber wrote:No reason to hide anything since I'm already playing with my cards face up: so no I have no additional powers. Of course, if you're mafia, you could be lying about being governor. But like Rage said, probably a waste of a lynch to just test it.
Thanks for the tip.WingCmdr Ginkapo wrote:Except the mod said he was going to provide good fakeclaims.

BuJaber, this is what makes mass claims dangerous - if the names do represent alignment, then typically, the mod will give the mafia fake claims (safe character names) so they don't get outed by flavour. Town can observe people and hold them accountable to their roles, but the trade-off is giving the mafia more information, allowing them to pick off key townies.
