Yes, for bandwagoning. Now even more, if Tim flips scum and you unvoted him at L-1, yeah, even more pressure on you.strike wolf wrote:Dakky, do you really think I would get pressure if Tim flipped scum?

Apparently you missed the second part of my post, where I provided something else, which is to vote HotShot.Ragian wrote:@Mets, you're checking in to say that something is weak without offering anything else?
Well since you all apparently have caught all the scum D1, I sympathize with the fact that you can only lynch one. When you're this bloodthirsty it must be so hard to be patient!I'm more and more convinced that BuJaber is scum.

2) I think you're confusing me with Wing. I think BuJaber is scum. I suspect AoG.
Humm, went back to check. Must have been drunk when I read Mets's post. Apologies. How many people do you reckon will go for your HS case with two days to go?

Based on the rate of current conversation -- not many. So be it. I've never been shy to say that virtually all D1 cases are shit and I'd rather vote my conscience than vote for whoever earned the random wagon.Humm, went back to check. Dakky, do you really think I would get pressure if Tim flipped scum?
Strike - This is why. Ragian and others were already suspicious of me for other reasons. Wing was not suspicious (out loud, anyway) until here. I didn't want to lose his (albeit small) trust. Maybe it's too late for that, but I still had to try. Like I said too much mistrust among town leads to town losing. Sometimes you just have to trust someone else's read, and go with the majority because otherwise town get nothing.WingCmdr Ginkapo wrote: BuJaber - You asked for Town to be united and lead. This is happening, why are you not voting Tim.
Dakky - by direct conversation I meant posts directed at the person. I've spoken about strike wolf before but not to him until very recently.
Mets makes some good points, and maybe he is right about D1 cases. There isn't one winning strategy for town. However, since it's early, I'm on the "take a chance" side of the fence: scum losing one now hurts them a lot more than it hurts town to lose one so it's worth a shot.
Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
While I agree the way BuJaber is talking is ringing some scum bells... remember this is his first forum game here, so it's also possible that he just hasn't learned to talk our lingo yet. It seems like most new people here say things that they think sound reasonable, and then get lynched because it fits the scum profile here. (Such as AoG and his no-lynch day 1's that got him lynched as town more than once.) So I will be waiting a bit longer to pass judgment on BuJaber and remain neutral for now.
My vote will stay on Tim until he claims.

OK, let's put it this way.
I want a role and I want to know who am I fighting for, so I will
Unvote & Vote Tim
So he is again on L-1. Feel free to lynch him, I want to see my options.

So let's get this straight. If Tim flips scum, then what reason do we have to not lynch you tomorrow? You said that you get the alignment of the person you choose.dakky21 wrote:OK, let's put it this way.

If Tim flips scum, and you are scum, and I choose scum, you will not lynch me. Or you will to prove you're town, which is also OK, because I'll win with you.Metsfanmax wrote:So let's get this straight. If Tim flips scum, then what reason do we have to not lynch you tomorrow? Endless possibilities exists
Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
The real question is will we be told which character you choose to take on? If this gets announced, then it doesn't make a lot of difference choosing now or later if you like Tim's role.
Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
I guess you won't be told because: if town cop is lynched and I take his role, I'll get Night Killed (NK) again... if Scum Godfather is lynched and I take his role - and it is announced - I'll get lynched again. So I hope it will not be announced, because that wouldn't make any sense.BuJaber wrote:The real question is will we be told which character you choose to take on? Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
Honestly, to me, Tim not saying anything recently makes me think more and more that he's town. Scumarining is really only a scum tell if there isn't any pressure on the player...like in the early part of a day and they don't want to draw any attention.
To me, when there is significant pressure on a player, it's scummier to post a lot in defense of yourself. Which, to be fair, Tim did (over defend himself, that is) but I think that's more based on what type of player he is. The fact that he's not posting anymore points to town I think
Of course, now we wait for his claim now

Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
alright so this is pretty funny
so Wing is pointing his finger at 6 different players yet boasts about his ability to scumread
I'm not sold on the case against Tim per se and my top scum reads right now are Wing and dakky (my vote was previously on dakky but Wing has taken over my top scum read)
that was posted two days agoWingCmdr Ginkapo wrote:Because scum is Tim, IB, Ragian and Mandy.Ragian wrote: @Wing, you're saying that I'm scum and that IB is scummy. Why do you vote for Tim, then?
Tim is the easiest to prove at this point, hence the vote.

I'm happy enough. Were in a good place with 2 days to go.
Mandy is earning himself last position in my scumlist. May well drop of if I find someone better to add. AOG and Bujaber early frontrunners.
Oddly StrikeWolf, when I am mafia I never admit to being wrong at all. Each to tneir own I suppose.

yeah, I'm not buying any of this. vote WingWingCmdr Ginkapo wrote:The dream bit was a lie to show how pointless Tims defence was.strike wolf wrote:I'm not sure what to think any more about Wing. I honestly had thought he was under a pr to call Rage scum before now (or something to the effect) and had mostly ignored it. I really doubt the mod would give him a role where he knows everyone who is mafia (and be able to openly say it and I would be very reluctant to believe information based on a dream he had.
The rest is me being my usual self and picking up reads very fast. Mandy is the one I am least confident in. If it was Aage, making the same plays as Mandy has, he would be 100% scum, however this is Mandy and I have no source data.
Are you telling me that you need more that 8 pages to determine scum? Its just going to get more confusing as they twist everything.

Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
So now I have written up a massive post and a shorter post and lost them to the nether, so I'm sorry, but this one will be short and to the point. I don't have the heart to do it again.
I would be shocked if we were told when dakky got a role, and if we do, it isn't to be trusted at all.
But we shouldn't even let it get to that point. I don't trust him at all. I can respect the wanting to make the game "competitive" but I doubt he would actually join the losing side. He has actively admitted to not being town and has acted very non-town. For some reason, he appears to be getting a pass for this. unvote vote dakky
BuJaber is acting bizarre, going so far as to say he is doing things to get along with "town" consensus. Maybe his heart is in the right place but…. something to keep an eye on

Re: Board Game Mafia: Let the games begin!
Don't consider this a defense: but are you sure I am acting non-town while actually trying to scumhunt? I'd rather find a scum D1 than town, so I have better options later? That is not pro-town? Hm. Yeah, It's a double edged sword, I agree.Whatsausage wrote:But we shouldn't even let it get to that point. I don't trust him at all. I was thinking maybe it'd be announced but it can still be helpful. Say doctor is lynched/killed and you get it you can save someone or waste a night-kill by saving yourself. Same thing with scum. Yeah you'll get lynched, but that takes up another whole day. You can still serve a purpose to either team.
But yeah you're probably right. Keeping it a mystery makes more sense.
I'm very fascinated by it. I've heard of roles that imitate a living player, but never one that takes the role of a dead character. Never played with either before.

@Mets, you're checking in to say that something is weak without offering anything else? How is that going to help things?
I'm more and more convinced that BuJaber is scum.
Check Tim's posts: HERE
I believe he was instructed to lay low so they can try to get him out of his mess. Strike & BuJaber were the last to vote on him, Strike bringing him to L-2, BuJaber to L-1, then Strike unvoting to prove he is town if Tim flips scum, and BuJaber bragging about him removing the vote. They both knew I would hammer, so if Tim flipped scum, they were last on the bandwagon, they could be next. Nice try to reverse the situation Strike.

Dude, lynching dakky is a luxury that the town cannot afford on Day 1. If Tim turns out to be Godfather, we lynch dakoy on Day 2, and if Tim turns out to be scum who is NOT Godfather, then Vig can has dakky as a nice, clean target on Night1, without having to wonder about hitting a useful townie.Whatsausage wrote:![]()

Tim has claimed, and has claimed scum, so from this point on every attempt to find a reason for voting someone else can obviously be interpreted only as an effort to split the votes and earn a No Lynch for scum so:
TOWNIES: VOTE TIM
SCUMSTERS: LAY LOW.

@Sausage, lynching dakky doesn't get us anywhere D2. We'll just get rid of a person that isn't scum yet (and may never end up being).
Sheesh, Tim claims scum. Well, that was easy. By my count he's lynched anyway. Good work.
Manda said the same...
