It's even better considering we've opted to not use any past LHDD-members in this current clanwar, as it's officially a VDLL clanwar. It''s both the 'anniversary' clanwar as it is the 'legacy' clanwar of the VDLL.

Maybe it starts as a joke...but where does it lead?

I swear I replied to this yesterday, anyway:
While some of the things mentioned both here and in our clanforum are true, for example our low amount of premiums, I don't think the VDLL nor LHDD would ever consider a merge. Though the LHDD and VDLL have their similarities, they also have their differences.
While the LHDD is very competitive, the VDLL is a gezelligheidsclan. The word "gezellig" doesn't translate well to English, but for the VDLL fun comes first, winning later. This isn't always clear as we have some very fanatic members like myself or waauw, but it's demonstrated through our "open-to-all"-policy and our almost yearly clanmeetings.
A second point is the sheer difference in skill. The VDLL averages a score of 2075 per member, while LHDD harbors an average of 2320. I can only speak for the VDLL here, but our average score is a little bit boosted due to Koganosi and myself having won some wars: the majority of our members are 2000-.
Last but not least, if the VDLL and LHDD were to merge we both lose the language-based trait. Not everybody speaks French and I'm sure as hell not everbody speaks Dutch as well. The fanatics of the VDLL would seek homes elsewhere, and the fanatics are certainly skilled enough to do so. The less fanatic members would probably enjoy a usergroup and play in teams, without an official clan backing them.
TLDR: It's not going to happen.
