A possibility may be to not take on the entirety of the newsletter at once, but instead release the different sections of it individually.
I feel that if were broken up, it may garner more interest (at least some portions of it) then if it is presented all at once. B/c that can be an overwhelming task in of itself to find the interesting bit within the newsletter for that particular person.
For example, seeing that the interview seemed to be possibly the most interesting part, a following could potentially grow if there were a stand alone "Interview Series."
