It's surprising i haven't seen a topic about this, but a while ago I got a mail from icepack stating that everyone who participates in clan wars gets a clan achievement, no matter if they wn or lose.
I'm personally not happy with this because it gives nothing to the winners.
I'm fine with a separate achievement, but if you give winners and losers the same achievement you're only harming the winners. Not only future winners, but also all previous winners. Because everyone who has ever won a clan achievement in the past will had a much harder time earning those achievements than people in the future. The achievements they have fought hard for with their clan will now become absolutely worthless.

Re: Clan medal achievment inflation
I remember the email, but don't have a copy of it anymore. I originally interpreted it the same way that you did, however, I don't think that's the case (I could be wrong though). I think it means that everyone on the winning clan, regardless of whether they won a game or not, gets a medal. If I recall, in the past, only clan members on the winning clan that won a game got a medal. If I was a member of a winning clan, played the minimum number of games, but lost all of them, I (should be kicked out of my clan) would not get a medal. As I said though, I could be mistaken.

Here's the exact quote. Your clan still needs to win, and you still need to participate in at least 3 games to earn a medal. All that is eliminated is the requirement that you personally win one of those games in the war.IcePack wrote:
Medal Changes
After much discussion amongst ourselves and the admin, we are making a small change in the medals process for clan wars. Participants will now be awarded for minimum participation of 3 games, regardless of whether or not they win. If your clan wins, and you played 3 games - you will receive your medal!

so its kind of like if your team wins the Super Bowl, even if you aren't a starter, you still get a ring kind thing?

More like "if you played at least a minute of the game, you contributed to the success / loss" of that game.jmyork82 wrote:so its kind of like if your team wins the Super Bowl, even if you aren't a starter, you still get a ring kind thing?
If you're on the bench the whole game, you still wont receive a medal regardless of what side wins.

i actually think that is cool... there is always those few games that nobody wants to play, and someone has to step up and do the deed... they may not win, but they contribute...-Jésus noirIcePack wrote:More like "if you played at least a minute of the game, you contributed to the success / loss" of that game.jmyork82 wrote:so its kind of like if your team wins the Super Bowl, even if you aren't a starter, you still get a ring kind thing?
