I remember when wiked went crazy and when akiceman was arrested for using the libraries WiFiafter hthe. He even posted the article in the paper. And I miss flame wars.

Yeah, that was a pretty funny article.

But when wicked lost it, she made sure the entire site knew about it.

Though by the time Flame Wars was taken down, all the good ones had been banned or left. Mainly banned though.

I think he would get by. Last time I talked to him he was lacking transportation.

Last time he posted he said he was living out in the boonies of Louisiana with no internet and was only on because he was at his kid's place.

That was part of why I had called him. He had a car and the transmission failed. He could not afford to fix it.

Thanks for the shout out mate. Unfortunately the Stache Wackers are a lost footnote at this place now. Like so many of the great clans back in the day. But i'm still proud of my/we Stachers accomplished back in 2006/2007. We set this forum on fire. Miss those days.

While Flame Wars was never really my thing, it was a fun place to visit. I only messed with one dude from Sweden while it was still active. I can't remember what the reason was for getting rid of it. Has there ever been a real attempt to bring it back?

Shortly afterwards which resulted in several obscure members at the time getting a vacation from CC (they tried to move FW to this forum for a short time) and others actually sent in tickets and complained to the mods and admins, but it never came back.

I can't remember the reason for it either. I think this was around the time when the manure hit the fan and there was a movement to get the forums at least somewhat "respectable" in order to attract newbies.

Wasn't in to also do with Hasbro's interest? Lack tried to tidy everything away & ended up not selling? I can't remember it being officially a 'thing' but I'm sure that was the rumour at some stage.
