This is my third game ever and so far I learned day one are joke votes. I don't have any knowledge about basketball, Rodman just came up (remember the Double Team movie?)

I'll admit, the number of game transcripts I've read is greater than the number of games I've taken part in, but from what I've seen, yeah, day 1 does seem to be joke votes or random votes, mainly to see how people react and get a feel for them.

Since he did this so early in the game, I don't see it as being a huge deal, and if we didn't have anything else to go off of I would pursue it more. But since Dakky and mtam have been bringing good points back and forth. This gives us more info to pull from on the 1st day. He did unvote the next day. The bigger issue I have right now with Marashu is that he is kinda MIA.

As for reads on other players, I think dakky is a little antsy here and pushing everyone to believe his case. I don't feel like he is scum, but he could easily be pushing hard because he is. I also feel like he is overreacting to a few statements and not forming his own opinions, but letting other people make them for him. As he uses most of our quotes to explain his feelings/thoughts.

Both Streaker and Mtam are giving me a town vibe, especially since I don't see them being able to pull anything off on day 1, that is also why I don't believe this statement by streaker.

Now, I could be wrong on this point and the game could be set up differently, but it's my understanding that usually scum can't talk until night 1. If you and Mtamb were scum, I could see you two doing that because you seem to be able to play off each other, but Mtamb and Dakky setting something like that up? I dunno, it seems kinda problematic to me.

Now, would I really be defending Mtamb if we are both mafia?

This makes sense to me. I'm still not sold on Mtamb being town, though. He seems to be asking lots of smart questions to get information out of people, but is very convinced that I am scum. This early, I feel like a townie would be a bit less certain than that, unless it's just Mtamb's way of trying to put pressure on me to draw out some scum around that.

Dakky... just got a bit scummier to me. I was going to say that if he was at L-1, then he was justified in getting antsy, but toad was just confirming a vote, not adding a vote, so the worst he was at is L-2.

The bigger issue I have right now with Marashu is that he is kinda MIA.

Yeah, like that. You're really keen on calling me out, and this worries me because, well, let's say I get lynched. When it comes up as town, the pressure you try to put on actual scum will not be as strong, because they'll be able to point out how hard you were pushing the point this time (and maybe call you out as scum).

To defend my posts. First post, I try the shot in the dark to see what comes of it. Answer: nothing (in hindsight, likely because you have enough experience with this game to not let it phase you). Second, I see that people are still joking around and spot an opportunity for a joke, so I take it. Third post, the one asking about Mtam's experience, I feel is pretty straightforward.

Fourth post defends second post, and is also the first time I posit the possibility of one of Mtam/Streaker being scum and leading the other astray, which other people picked up on. I wasn't 100% sure of that scenario at that point, because it would be too obvious if the two of you were scum, so we would dismiss that possibility or it could easily be dismissed, but if you knew that, then you could proceed with it anyway. The odds of both of you being scum are rather low, but non-zero, which is why I had to at least consider it. I cut it short because I had to head off to work.

Fifth post undoes the joke vote, asks for clarification for motivation for Mtam's line of questioning (which has its pro's and con's), and takes Mtam up on him telling us that Streaker knows him best by asking Streaker for a read. My final post before this one offers my thoughts on the Mtam/Dakky possibility, in which I say that it's unlikely that you're both scum. Since I also think it's likely one of Mtam/Streaker is scum, that leaves me to think that EITHER Mtam is scum, OR Dakky/Streaker are scum.

Mtam, I also think you're being a bit premature with coming up with the town circle. Toad has finally started posting, but no word from Pugs.

I don't feel like he's trying to deflect suspicion to other people like toad said. I just feel like he's trying to get us to feel like, I don't know, we're on his side? He also seems pretty dismissive of suspicion thrown at him and focuses on character attacks rather than addressing the issue, as is evident of his reply to sniper's read on him.

Right now it's more that I'm leaning scum for him. I'm also leaning scum for you, Mtam. However, I feel pretty strongly that you both aren't scum together. What I'm trying to work out right now is which of you it is, or who the 2nd scum is. If Mtam is scum, Streaker is town. If dakky is scum, I'm leaning scum for Streaker.

Can you elaborate on this? We are all talking a lot about other players, thats how you play the game. Shifting suspicion is more trying to convince other players to join your lead. Has Dakky done anything specific that makes you wanna vote him?


Further, I also hope everyone can read the sarcasme in my 'good cop bad cop' remark. It was dedicated to Dakky, trying to copy how he reacts to things.

Marashu's last few posts have earned him some town credits, I have a less scummy read on him. Sniper is also in my town list.

On my scum radar are Dakky, Marashu and Pugs. Pugs simply because AFK.

@Sniper, perhaps you can consider putting pressure with your vote elsewhere then the AFK, giving him the chance to turn up and maybe getting more information on this day.
As Deadline approaches you'll easily convince me to vote for Pugs if he remains inactive. It would remove the ??? about him.

It wasn't particularly helpful at the time and my vote hadn't changed since the joke vote, I was also not wanting to put someone at an L-1/2 incase someone came around for the accidental hammer. But apparently I had lost track of the vote count and Dakky didn't have any votes at all on him when I said he looked the scummiest to me. So I will start by Unvote.

I agree with mtam here that Marashu is not giving any hard sides to this battle, he wants to play each side and look like the good guy, so he can always go back and say he was wrong and made a simple mistake later on. It seems like a fool proof way to skate though the game, and hope you don't draw any attention to yourself.

I will go through later tonight/tomorrow morning and place a vote after I re-read, I want re-evaluate everything and I don't have the time to do it right now.

Dakky this is day 1, the only way cases are built are based off of assumptions, and seeing how people react with pressure. To me you look like you are still trying to force a case that has been wiped under the rug. Yes there is some kind of history between them, but I really doubt that both of them are scum, maybe 1 of them and they have fooled us so far.

Even if mtam reveals his role, I really doubt you would believe it to begin with. And this to me is a very big detrimental thing to town.
