Welcome everyone to the first ever TRANSFORMERS WARS DOUBLES TOURNAMENT! Test your skills against the very best in an effort to become the Supreme Commander of the Transformers Wars!
This tournament will feature 24 teams divided into four divisions (Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals and Predacons) each consisting of 6 teams named after a specific Transformer. The tournament will feature 4 rounds of play.
First Round: Round Robin style. One game against each of the other teams in your division for a total of five games.
Second Round: The top two teams from each division will square off in a 'best of three' series to determine the representative for that division in the Semi-Finals.
Semi-Finals: The top teams from Autobots-Decepticons and Maximals-Predacons will face off in a 'best of three' series.
Finals: The winner of each of the semi-finals series will face each other in a a 'best of five' series to determine the Supreme Commander of the Transformers.
"Home court" advantage for the later rounds during the "best of" series will be determined by the teams first round score which will be determined as follows:
Win = 3 points
Loss = 1.5 points
Upon sign-up in the tournament each doubles team is required to state their preference of map, fortification and card (Flat Rate or No Cards only) settings for the later rounds. All other settings throughout the entire tournament will be Doubles, Sequential and Flat Rate. Teams also need to state which "Transformer" they would like to play for within a respective division.
Teams are also required to state whether or not they have a premium membership in order to speed along the tournament play. Premium membership is not required for entrance into the tournament, however, if you have a free membership you need to leave your slot open after finishing your first tournament game in order to start the next one as soon as possible. Also, if you have a free membership it would be preferred, though not required, if you were to leave a slot open after signing up for the tournament so there will not be a delay in starting your teams first game.
The tournament organizer also requests that any players who sign up for the tournament have completed at least 5 games and have earned a promotion to Private in order to cut down on potential deadbeating.

Tie Breakers: In the event of a three way tie at the end of the first round a sudden death three team game will be played to determine which teams will advance to the second round. This game will be played on the Classic Map, Sequential, Flat Rate, Unlimited format. In the event of a tie in regards to determining 'home court' advantage the first tie break will be a head to head comparison if the teams had played before. The winner of the head to head gets 'home court'. If the teams have not played, then a 'best of five' coin toss conducted by the tournament organizer will determine 'home court' for the later rounds.
