[Rules] Allow freemiums to buy individual game slots

Postby DarthBlood on Thu Nov 13, 2014 10:16 pm

My friend came up with the idea of allowing freemiums to buy individual game slots. As it is now, we have four. Me and him, we're not interested in the more expensive premium option that allows us unlimited games. Rather, we want the option to buy slots so that we can play maybe like, 5-8 games at a time.

If prices now for premium are $5/month or $30/year, maybe the price to buy one extra slot is $1/month. I dunno, you CC admins can figure that out. But there can also be options to permanently unlock 5 games at once as freemium, and maybe prices increase as you increase the number of slots.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • more money for CC

i think the cost for buying "extra slots" for a month, would be $5... *cough*... and remember, when you get premium, you can start as many games as you like, they don't vanish when your premium runs out... cough up the $5 and see how that works out for you... it took CC over 5 years to implement the tiered membership plans (thank you BW), i don't really see them adding another tier like you are suggesting... good luck...-Jésus noir

he means that before you could only buy 1 year of premium. but now you can buy 1 month. (tiered) i think he means something in the style of trial aka 1month premium

Still not an awful suggestion... Maybe it's not a high priority right now after the changes that occured recently - but then again, if it's relatively easy and someone's interested in sending CC money for it.. who knows how admin would judge its merits.

The only real problem I see is the costs involved per transaction. If it is implemented I can still see a minimum purchase of 500 credits as anything less than that is not cost effective

I am currently a non-paying participant, and I would enjoy more games. Unlimited for the current pricing isn't unreasonable, but I would not use it to that level. Perhaps $10 annual for ten games active, or $30 for lifetime upgrade to ten active games. Those would be what I would pay for a little more Conquer Club cyber slacking.

Neat ideas. We have speed packs already, so something like this could fit in there.
