This tourney will be a 1v1 epic season with each team playing a full 82-game schedule before a best-of-7 series Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 2015 Stanley Cup!
EVERY PLAYER MUST SELECT ONE OF THE 30 NHL CLUBS AND A HOME RINK (MAP) WITH THEIR OWN HOME GAME SETTINGS.
*doodle earth cannot be used as it is a tiebreaker map
Players are required to hold a 4.5 average rating and a 95% attendance (former players are grandfathered as long as I didn't give you Das Boot).
Structure: Regular Season: Each team will play 82 games total. Each team will be assigned games on a weekly basis so on average that's about 3-4 games at a time. Teams will play one 1v1 game against each other. The round will advance once each team has played each assigned game. Playoffs: Just as the actual NHL, according to the points system the top 3 teams in each division and two conference wild cards will make the Stanley Cup playoffs, making 16 teams total. Each team is seeded by conference 1-8 and highest seed will always play lowest seed. Each round will be a best-of-7 series but will be fragmented into stages. Stages 2-4 will only be played if necessary.
Stage 1: 4 games, 2 at each team's home rink. Stage 2: 1 game at higher seeded team's home. Stage 3: 1 game at lower seeded team's home. Stage 4: repeat Stage 2.
Points System and Tiebreakers: 1) Each win is 2 points, an overtime loss is 1 point. 2) Overtime comes into play after the 10th round. 3) There is no overtime in the playoffs. 4) No ties. Ever.
Tiebreakers work much like the NHL system: 1) # wins not in OT 2) Head to head record (most points advances) 3) A three-game no ot doodle earth series, first to win 2 advances
Stephane Quintal's Disciplinary Measures: -If a player misses the invites to all games for a round (without prior notice and/or legitimate reason i.e. death, medical procedure, illness, vacationing in an internet dead zone), he/she receives a season-long suspension that cannot be appealed and will be replaced by a reserve to play from that round on. -If a player misses an invite to a playoff game, he/she will be re-invited to a new one. If still no response after 3 invites, that player automatically loses the series.
Game Settings: -standard only -automatic or manual -sequential (no freestyle) -choice of reinforcements -choice of spoils -sunny or fog -blitz or trench -24 hr rounds
Elastic Clause: Commissioner myers33 has the final say on all issues and has the right to adjust any rule at any time if deemed necessary.
Premiums only.
If i gave you Das Boot last season don't bother signing up because I hate your guts.
Other than that, here's some basic rules on how to play hockey:

We only made it through 25% of the 2014 season in 6 months, and you are now abandoning that one in favour of starting a new one. Even with the head-start on the real 2014-2015 season, at the pace of the old one it will take 2 years to finish.
Straight from the tournament guidelines:
Abandoning a tournament is simply unfair and discourteous to the players who make the commitment to sign up and play. As the host of a tournament, it is your responsibility to see your tournament through from beginning to end....period.
Considering that you are abandoning the 2014 NHL Season tournament just so you can run this one, I won't be signing up.
im sorry some of you are probably really bummed out about me cancelling the 2014 season tourney. there were multiple reasons for this:
-people expressed discontent that they werent able to pick their own home map settings (this was fixed) -people kept dropping out and it was damn near impossible to find replacements (also fixed with qualifications) -itd be weird to do the 2014 season during 2015...right? -we were making veryyyyy slow progress...way too slow... games will now be assigned around 1 month at a time
in the end this is the exact same thing as last season with qualifications to try and prevent dropouts, custom map rules for the players, and i will try my best to make the tournament stay current to real time.
thank you for your understanding. see ya on the ice.
