Anyway....
Hotshot suggested a Santa Claus role... That makes pretty good sense to me... Maybe he knows who is naughty and who is nice???

Betiko suggests I may have bullshitted the gift, which I did not... And, now that Edocsil has proven that more than one can happen per night and that they are not neccessarily investigative gifts, I will say that I was made bulletproof last night... I didn't want to tell anyone that in case they tried to kill me and it failed... So, yes, I felt that it was none of your business. Needless to say, you STILL haven't answered about what you learned, betiko, so, in my opinion, you are looking fairly scummy your damn self. (I don't have any reason to believe you were given anything at all... Especially since YOURS is the only one that doesn't match up with the rest of OURS... We were not given a chance to pick shit... It was either use it or lose it... Yet somehow YOUR ability allowed you to choose who to investigate)

Spiesr seems to agree with me, which is nice to have some backup
spiesr wrote:You complain about him not revealing things while you refuse to tell us which townie you have theoretically cleared?

Also, thank you Mudpuppy for actually reasding my post where I specifically said I did not have an investigative role. Apparently, betiko is too topsy turvey trying to pin some idiotic mess on me that he fails to actually read the posts he is questioning...

Finally, betiko completely changes modes and throws a vote at jmac... Nice hop on the bandwagon after you figured out your argument against me was completely devoid of any merit.

Since jmac has enough votes on him, I am going to
Vote: Betiko

I don't believe your story... At all.

And if I am given another gift and it DOES happen to be investigative, I am using it on you.

Quick answer: poopoo
Your arguments smell man, sorry about that. Telling that you received a bulletproof from the start is more beneficial that not telling it. You bring enough wifom to mafia to protect your own ass.
You learn nothing from your bulletproof being taken if you are night targeted. You might save a townie for a night but on the long run you probably rather want to be bulletproof as long as possible if you believe that you are a strong asset for your faction gamewise.

Secondly.... edoc claims he received a watcher power for a night. Strike claims he was told saussage was mafia. I received an investigation for a night. You were given a bulletproof. I m the odd one out from that list? Please elaborate cause you sound like a funny guy.

Thirdly: reread strike's case on jmac. Oh, that's right, he is quoting me fossing jmac yesterday and being the first one to question him. So I m the one bandwagoning out of the 6 votes on his ass?

Fourthly: so you think it's not reasonable from me to elaborate 3 theories, one of which being you making up the gift thing given that I know for fact that I received one on the same night? And that so far only 1 gift had been sent as far as we knew? Looks like you lack of something called empathy.

Anyway, you are pretty much in your meta; overly omgussing anyone having doubts about yourself. You do understand that in this game we don t know your alignment right?

Rodion wrote:The reason regular cops don't come out D2 and reveal their innocent results is that it's not worth to expose such an important role just to clear an unknown player. When it's a gift, though, you'll not be revealing the source of the investigative power by claiming your results right away. I think you should claim just to have the information out in the open. There is no damage in revealing a possibly insane investigation because we are not forced to follow whatever result you claim. It's still good to have the result out, though, in case you die and the gifter ends up flipping sane.

Edoc has posted and now the mystery seems to be solved with 2 gifts per night.

What we currently have is:

N2 Strike - gifter picks target and Strike opens package (sane or paranoid cop)
N2 Edoc - gifter gives watch (not used due to clock ending the night earlier)
N3 Betiko - gifter gives power and Betiko picks the target (sane, insane or naive cop)
N3 Nark - ???
I think Rodion has pretty clearly explained why Betiko should reveal the results of his gifted action, and I think it is strange that he hasn't done so.
He said this was Night 1.

Okay did I miss where Edoc corrected himself and said he received the gift night 2? Because I heard night 1. So if I am not mistaken that means 1 gift night 1. 1 gift night 2. 2 gifts night 3? The math doesn't exactly add up and I have to agree with Betiko that Nark's stands out more than Betiko's. Beyond that, I don't know I may need to take a step back. I know I am probably riding the confirmation bias train with Betiko but it is starting to sound like a town v. town argument. I mean I just can't see why Nark would fake a gift and I can't see why Betiko would counter claim him if he didn't receive a gift (unless he is Nark's lyncher, in which case do we act upon that?). I just can not rationalize either of them taking that risk.

He did not, I just made a mistake when trying to comprehend the gift situation. Having 2 gifts at both nights (and no gifts at N1 because presumably most people were caught off-guard with the clock) made the most sense, so I jumped to that conclusion and forgot about the part where he said it was N1. So we're working with 1-1-2 gifts, 1 per night being investigative and N3 also having Nark's BP.

I did mention Edoc had posted, Strike.

And I see sheepofdumb is online viewing this forum right now.

I should say that tails has been posting as well.

I really hate how the horse game is being handled, but I guess this is easier to rationalize when you are not in it. I just seem to think that if two or three people agreed that one player was scummier they would keep slamming the vote into that player. Then that player would claim and a decision would be made. I find it so odd that it isn't treated as a lynch from a smaller pool, rather than the total CYA that it is now.

Caveat to that, strike has town credit with the players at the moment, and I do recognize that they are not throwing the horse at him much.

I suggested it to be treated as a second lynch back in D1 and we had made significant progress concerning how to handle the game, but people just seemed to forget/disregard it after the clock messed things up that day.

Well, clock is dead now, so perhaps it is time to revisit the plan.

The might of an entire nation was held within one body. That body was chosen to die. As it met its demise, the voices of a thousand screams seemed to sound. It would not be a restful night for those who chose their deaths. Then again, none of their nights were restful.

Jmac (Australia, Town Poisoner) has been lynched!

Image

That game of ill will fell on one who wasted a great deal of time. The town would not miss his passing; sloth is a sin, after all, and this fellow was among the most sinful. Perhaps he would have lived if not for his laziness.

Lootifer (Patrick Star, Mafia Procrastinator) has been killed!

Postby pancakemix on Tue Jun 03, 2014 1:07 pm

A holy man was he, but maybe not so holy. Surely a pioneer, but perhaps for the wrong side. Beloved by so many, and in truth not deserving of their love. He will be mourned, but those who remain in this town know that he should not be remember as such.

Anarkistsdream (Pope Francis I, Mafia Canonizer) has been killed!

Image

...but another among them will have no time to remember him, as he has no time left. A man who seemed to always be in control of the situation turned out to have none whatever in the end. He never got his man, or the freedom he sought. It would be much harder to do so with a dagger stuck in his chest.

Rodion (Miles Edgeworth, Cult Hammer) has been killed!

Image

As the moon sets in the west, the town members rise and count the dead. But the moon rises again in the east, and the townsfolk feel the danger creeping in again. They shut themselves away, hoping to last just one more night...

It is now Lost Night 2. Please send in all actions by 2 AM ET on June 5.

Ditto what tails said... However, THANK YOU for letting me play with you all! Aage and betiko nailed me and I will be making sure to always believe what they say from now on! Betiko, you rule dude. Haha.

Now let's see if town dies the slow and painful death they deserve!

By the way. First time in 9 games I wasn't town. And out of those, six vanilla townies. It was awesome to play something else.

Zounds! Another among the dead! He claimed to be a spaceman of great ability and renown, but on the surface he appeared to be just a young boy. He also seemed to be missing his tiger friend. Maybe that friend could have saved him...

TA1LGUNN3R (Spaceman Spiff, Town Roleblocker) has been killed!

Image

During the night, a man heard a rap at his door. He opened it to find a mysterious figure standing before him. The silhouette spoke "I am indebted to fulfill your wishes. Tell me what you desire. But be warned: everything has a price." The man did not hesitate. "Bring back one of those from among our dead." The figure smirked in the darkness. "It is granted." The earth rumbled and the town stirred. From the ground was lifted one of their own.

Jonty125 has been revived.

...but the shaking did not stop. Power swirled around the figure as it began to float above the ground. The lightening that flashed all around it revealed its face to be demonic and twisted. "FOOLS!" shouted the demon "My power has been unleashed! This realm belongs to me!" The whole town was torn up around him at the wave of his hands. "Now I shall destroy you all!"

The man who had made the wish ran fearlessly toward the tornado. "Stop! Honor my wish as you are sworn: I wish that you would not end our lives!" The figure grimaced. "It is granted. But every gift comes with a price!" The man who wished fell to his knees, writhing in pain. One by one the others followed, falling to the ground until darkness enveloped their vision.

When they awoke in the morning, they still felt the sharp pains lingering in their bodies. Only the resurrected one seemed inured to the affliction. "How can you stand this?" one of them asked, clutching his stomach. "I have felt this before." he replied "This is what death feels like." The sadness in his eyes showed that these things he said were true. They regarded each other, wondering how long these pains would last, not remembering who or what had caused them...

Iron Butterfly (The Wishmaster, 3rd-Party Rolegifter Djinn) has won the game and is removed from play.

That's My Horse

The following people will be playing That's My Horse:

MudPuppy

HotShot53 begins the game without a horse.

It is now Lost Day 3. With 10 alive it takes 6 to lynch. Deadline is June 8 at 2 PM ET.

ok, first of all sorry again, I think my revelation might have caused tail's death.... anyway, what is done is done.

ok so we are 10 left.
On the first night out of the 2 that just happened,I received a gift; it seemed to be the same as what strike received, the ability to know if my targeted player is mafia or not. I chose tails and i was told that he is not mafia. I looked back in my PMs to see how it was worded the night before that, and even if it was worded slightly differently I think it was the same type of gift; and that night I was told that edoc is not mafia. So I think that actually all 3 gifts to strike; me and me were the same..

Anyway, what is a mafia procrastinator? he can make an action like a NK that is effective one day later???
what is a mafia canonizer??? he can make holy/saint one of his mates for the night or something??

My guess is that we still have 1 mafia around at least, and 1 cult. The cult was chosen; aage picked rodion who had some town cred when he got recruited and was also a reknown good player. It's possible that he went for the same type of profile with his other recruit.

Welcome back, Jonty!!!

OK, the HF is starting to piss me off. I guess Strike and I get to relive LD1's competition??? But where is spiesr??? I don't think there were any repeats before, were there? I guess it's random and we were lucky to be back in the game together two days in a row after everyone was cycled through the first time!?!?! Not sure but it warrants some more investigation.

I was starting to feel bad about being left out of the whole gift receiving thing... Not so much anymore :P. So, it's my understanding that those who opened their gift are all doomed to die at some point in the presumably near future??? I never saw the movie but that certainly seems to be what the scene is saying. Nicely done, IB. I hope you're feeling better!

Strike, can you give us an updated watch list? Will definitely be looking for sheep to post soon.

All of a sudden I am awfully glad I never had a chance to use my gift.

Also, with the apparent lack of a SK I would say 5 man mafia, so 2 mafia and a cultist left by my count.

Of the living we have:

1. Strike Wolf
8. DoomYoshi
9. Spiesr
11. HotShot53
14. jonty125 (Ronnie O’Sullivan, Town Watcher) Killed Day 2, Revived Lost Night 2
17. kgb007
19. Edocsil - Savior of the townspeople.
20. Sheepofdumb
21. Betiko - Claimed Gov
22. MudPuppy

We know (ok assume) there is the horse fucker out there, there are 3 antitown by best guess, the gifter is dead (ish) and is there anything else I am failing to summarize?

Welcome back jonty :) So, did you get any results from the time you had been alive that could help in any way?

This is my second time in the horse game also... for as much as I hate being in it, it actually seems to be working out ok for us... killed a 3rd party, a town (who is now revived), and a scum. (It was on our lynched scum the other day.)

At the moment, I trust Strike and Betiko more than MudPuppy.... so MudPuppy, that's my horse!
