Aggh! I meant to say this in the last post, the fact that there are 4 people involved in the horse game today seems to disprove the countdown theory. The horse could still be an SK variation or even a mafia kill. Or it could be a mod mechanic. Without the countdown aspect, I can't really assume much about the nature of it beyond what Doomyoshi had for speculations yesterday.

I'm not opposed to the HF hunt... but don't think anything will come of it. Still going with the theory that pcm is running the show... and now guessing that the number of participants is determined randomly.

I like MPs idea of killing sausage with the horse; the problem I see is sheep, doom and kgb arent exactly the most active players (theyre not bad but still...).

Easiest option would be to double whammy him with the horse and the lynch.

@SW: Your character... are they known to have any, er, mental issues or instabilities? I.e. is there any reason to doubt the sanity of your "package"?

could it be that on day 1 PCM had to launch the game and put 1 extra guy in it, but from then on there would always be 4 players for each new day?
Maybe the one that leaves the lynched horseless choses the 4 participants of the next day or something?

anyway, vote whatsaussage. I'd like to hear a claim before we horse-lynch him at the end of the day.

once the cult leader is dead, aren't the converts switching back to normal? If not, on night 2 if aage sent in his new night target to PCM, wouldn't we have 2 converts even if aage died that same night?

Think that would be a waste. Horseless is the way to go. It's definitely worth getting a claim first... so, vote Sausage... but then we should look to lynch someone else... Betiko at the very least but perhaps someone more interesting will emerge during the day.

Depends on the mod. Sometimes they convert back. Sometimes they stay as a sort of third party who win with a majority. From the flavor, it seems like the latter. It could be either one or two converts out there.

What do you mean "a waste. Horseless is the way to go"?

I was suggesting we leave him without a horse and lynch him. Unless we can find someone scummier lynching and horsegaming the "confirmed" scum seems to be the way to go imo.

Strikewolf, do you believe the package to be something generated by your role or by someone else?

Not that I recall and I had just finished going back through the source for this character when the game started so my memory is fairly fresh. Likewise, I can't think of any gift that I have gotten connected to my character that would have negative consequences, if I would get any gift at all. I seem to have messaged Pancake just as he logged off so I am still waiting for word on something. As far as whether it came from my character or someone else...it could possibly be either one. My initial theory was that it was generated by someone else but I can't rule out that it wasn't a product of my role.

I think he was agreeing with the prospect of horse lynching him but using the regular lynch for someone else.

I'm saying it's a waste of lynch to do both. Just leave him without a horse and use the lynch on someone else. If he somehow manages to steal the horse back at the last minute and lives (pretty unlikely, I think) then we can lynch him tomorrow (if a townie doesn't kill him in the night).

Sooo...anyone taking credit for this kill? Looks really good, if you do. (how different D2 is if Jak had killed Aage) That's a sweet shot by somebody...thanks! However, the scene indicates that his recruits are still alive. That'll be a joy to find...

And figuring out the clock? Good luck. If the Clock can pull an end to the day or night at any time, perhaps he'd work with town to kill whatsausage when he is horseless? I suggest the other players always take his horse today.

Now, back to the HF.
Nebuchadnezer wrote:Well, here is my approach. Those in the game are NOT the HF.

Day 1 Players
2. Anarkistsdream
6.Virus90 (Frank Underwood, 3rd Party Vote Gatherer) - Killed Day 1
7. Rodion
11. HotShot53
15. TA1LGUNN3R

Day 2 Players
3. Iron Butterfly
12. Jmac1026
14. jonty125
19. Edocsil

Day 3 Players
8. DoomYoshi
13. Whatsausage
17. kgb007
20. Sheepofdumb

I think jak and Betiko are not the HF either (they could be, but unlikely at this point)
21. Betiko

The rest are toss ups.

1. Strike Wolf
2. Anarkistsdream
5. Lootifer
9. Spiesr
11. HotShot53
15. TA1LGUNN3R
16. Nebuchadnezer
22. MudPuppy

So, we are now down to 9 of us who haven't played. My initial gut reaction says Lootifer. Why? No reason at all...just gut and how his posts are sitting with me.

My new watch is TAILGUNNER...he has not posted yet.

Anarkhist has posted recently.

I'm not a huge proponent of trying to hunt for the horse player (if there is one). How would we go about that exactly? Will the horse player kindly raise his or her hand? Short of a flavor cop getting very lucky on these freaking short nights, that seems like a dead end.

If whatsausage is indeed scum, we should lynch him and take his horse. Then we get the good fortune to test Betiko's ability and take care of scum. Alternatively, just a lynch of Betiko would work.

In fact, Vote Betiko.

Looking through aage's posts. Can't see who he recruited based on that. I suppose Nark would work since nobody would suspect it after N1. Usually players who lay low or are vets would be recruit choices.

Did Aage have any historical "running mates" here? Someone he would be likely to target because he's played with them before?

Not that I know of... I've played a few with him. I can't find a game where he has been recruiter before. Reading over old games made me miss squirrel and haggis all over again.

Ok so right now you are willing to lynch whatsaussage without even hearing his claim? Wouldn t it be smarter to vote for him, hear the claim then go after me?
Secondly, supposing I get the most lynch votes. The safe thing is that you will not kill a town wether i'm lying or not. The bad thing is that you will not learn much other the lynch will result in me not dying. Because let s face it, people will come up with a million theories to try to counter prove my claim.

But you sir, what makes you think you can continue acusing me the way you are doing it? I have officially full claimed, we know nothing about you but you are still extremely suspicious towards me based on absolutely nothing. I can do the same and start a campaign against you as you haven t been sending me very good vibes so far.

FOS Jmac for two reasons. One that last post just sounds like he's not trying. First, just dismissing any chance that there could be to isolating or limiting the field on who the Horse could be. Doom actually gave a reasonable argument about it yesterday and if Neb is right, then at least some of the people have been eliminated from the pool. Just dismissing it in general seems like an excuse to not look. Second and more importantly, I could accept that if you had continued on by bringing up new cases or even just leaving it at that, instead you go back to the easy choice with the Betiko case from yesterday.

I'll go on record as saying I am not convinced that Betiko is town but I think there are better ways to test it out. We come up with a case, hopefully a reasonably strong one and at some point (would need to be early to prevent clock action, just in case), have Betiko send a PM to save him.

To expand on something that Rodion commented on yesterday, Jmac and Jonty were on it yesterday after he had cleared them of being the clock, today Doomyoshi who came up with the list and KGB who had been at the top of the list are on it. Still feels largely like coincidence but worth noting.

As far as the PM, I am not allowed to tell you anything more from the PM than I have already stated. I received a mysterious gift that had a mafia name in it. I chose to open it and the name was whatsausage.

@loot I'd be curious to compare post counts as I believe I've been more active than you...

@doom am I still your top suspect as HF?

@pcm are we still operating under the rule that every post has to coincide with "that's my horse" for those participants?
