Great to see you posting IB. For the record, it would be mighty scummy for anyone to take IB's horse at this point.

I also think the evidence is clear that IB's malfunctioning ticker is a clear sign that he's The Clock! :P

If Betiko invented his role (I don't think he did) then he's likely scum and would be killed. If his role is as claimed then that part gets confirmed... but we still don't know alignment. So, not a lot of help there... but it does remove a pardon from his arsenal which, even if he is Town, could be considered an anti-Town ability since it overrides the democratic process and takes away Town's primary weapon for a day. Obviously, if he is scum and a Governor, then taking away his ability is in town's best interest so he is unable to save (or delay) a scum lynch. Basically, I see a vote for Betiko as a no lynch vote with some additional benefits.

I second this... A governor role has rarely helped town, is almost never used on someone besides the governor himself, and basically slows the game down. However, I am fine with a runoff between the two so we can see what the popular majority decides. Otherwise, we really have nothing to go off of with votes today. We need to have some sort of accountability

note: I'm replying to this before reading the rest, as the next post(s?) seem to be about other stuff.
This is the first time I see there is a governor in a game. It might sound a bit of a wifom argument, but I actually think the best way to play the governor role might be to get lynched which could prove partly that what I am saying is correct (as this will not prove my alignement). I don't really see how this power can help other than by saving your own ass. Unless you vote your vote or the ability to influence other votes, you can always fight to save someone without having to use such a power. So ok, I'm ok to try it for science. If you guys do this, I will become a vanilla townie. I totally understand that other town could not like this power around, and the best use I can make is to protect my ass and prove as much as I'm able to who I am.

Governor works best when it isn't known actually. A mafia that tries to make a quick move to end the game with a quick lynch and a night kill could be foiled by the hidden governor. That's about all I can think of.

Oh and hope you are alright IB. I don't think I remembered to say that earlier.

yes, didn't mention it either. Take care mate, hope it's not too important!

regarding strike's coment: I can't really imagine how this power could be necesairy, you can always block the game or prevent people from fast lynching someone you are sure is town... and the only one you will always be 100% certain of is yourself.

Factors I looked at:
Knowing who Ed, Edd and Eddy are
Amount/variety of spec on the horse game itself
D1 horse increases likelhihood for the same reason that a stolen vote d1 increase prob of being mafia (obviously not in this game)

I would be interested in seeing other players make similar lists though.

Some points I am undecided on: would the HF be one of the players (mudpuppy, Jonty, etc) who claim that the horse game is mod forced to throw us off? I decided not.

Postby Nebuchadnezer on Thu May 22, 2014 9:42 pm

Well, here is my approach. Those in the game are NOT the HF.

Day 1 Players
2. Anarkistsdream
6.Virus90 (Frank Underwood, 3rd Party Vote Gatherer) - Killed Day 1
7. Rodion
11. HotShot53
15. TA1LGUNN3R

Day 2 Players
3. Iron Butterfly
12. Jmac1026
14. jonty125
19. Edocsil

I think jak and Betiko are not the HF either (they could be, but unlikely at this point)
10. jak111
21. Betiko

The rest are toss ups.

1. Strike Wolf
2. Anarkistsdream
4. aage
5. Lootifer
8. DoomYoshi
9. Spiesr
11. HotShot53
13. Whatsausage
15. TA1LGUNN3R
16. Nebuchadnezer
17. kgb007
20. Sheepofdumb
22. MudPuppy

Depending on the night kills and results, we can start to whittle this group down. Tomorrow, I expect 3 more players to be chosen, which gets us down to 10 left. I haven't read through each of these 13 left, but perhaps each "watcher" can look at their person and see if anything looks suspicious. It's not that great of a plan, but it's all I got for now. Anything more gets into WIFOM.

I'd like to point out that I managed to rule out 2 players from being the clock dude: Jonty and Jmac. Both of them were invited to the horse game the following day.

I still don't feel comfortable drawing any sort of conclusion from that, but it's noteworthy nonetheless.

Well, given the Virus flip yesterday, I feel chances are that we could get another 3rd party/mafia with the horse game again. Here's to hoping it ends on the right player...

The town needed not wonder long about who had killed the clowns: a young boy of great power came forward and took ownership of the death. He claimed he killed for the right reasons, but it mattered not to those who saw the bodies. If it were he who acted, he acted rashly, they thought. There was some debate, but the boy was the one who went to the chopping block.

Jak111 (Aang, Town Jack-of-All-Trades) has been lynched!

Another fell prey to that game of chance from a strange land on this day as well. This man had a keen eye, and likely saw the danger of playing the game. But luck is often just as important in a game as skill with a cue. Luck did not favor the gamesman this day.

Jonty125 (Ronnie Oā€™Sullivan, Town Watcher) has been killed!

Death was friend to this man. If you could call him a man, anyway. Stalking the night as he did, hungry for blood. Some were sad to learn of his death that abrupt morning. None were after learning his foul ways. Except, perhaps, his victims, still prowling the night following their transformation...

Aage (Dracula, Vampire Cult Recruiter) has been killed!

hummm.... a package? care to elaborate?

that can be dangerous mate. suppose you are both town and this is a setup. Never seen such mechanism and it seems a bit too easy.
Anyway, not too surprised about jak, but oh well, it was him or myself. I didn't have a great vibe about aage either. Did mafia perform that kill though?

I considered that. I considered that it could have caused me to blow up or other factors. In the end, I deemed most risks to be too bastardish to be included and took the chance that it was telling the truth. I don't have much information on it, just that I was told shortly after night fall that I had been given a package with the name of a mafia member in it. Beyond that, I will need to consult with Pancakemix if I am allowed to tell you the other detail.

I also thought Aage was coming on a little too strong against me. Now I see he was just looking to fight anybody.

As for whatsausage. I could see it being true... He has vanished too, so I don't even know if he will come back and defend himself. If he doesn't try to defend himself by the end of Memorial Day weekend, I'll vote for him.

Speaking of, for all of the Internationals in this game. This is Memorial Day weekend in the USA, and that means most of us Americans will be busy or drunk or drunk AND busy.

Since he's one of the HF participants... and has been relatively inactive... I think the choice of who's horse to take is pretty clear. That way perhaps we can get scum through the horse game and still have the lynch. That is, assuming Strike is being truthful... which I assume he is. I had a fairly town vibe on him to begin with and his claim is pretty easy to test. I can't really imagine a scenario that benefits him if it isn't true.

Powerful roles on both sides took hits. Nice to get that recruiter gone.

With the full day, I was anticipating a full night... guess not.

Yes that short night threw out at least one of the theories I had on the clock. I think the Horse takes priority for the moment.

Having Whatsausage killed by the horse is an option. If we can arrange particularly if we arrange for the hammer to fall at the same time he is switched off to like was being suggested for day 1. Assuming the information I was given was accurate and I am strongly in the camp of that being the case, than this could even be a good day to have Betiko prove that he is a governor.
