Rather, the relationship I have with CC is like the relationship I have with (and attitude towards) my ex-wife.


It's an abusive relationship.

I've put a lot in and gotten a lot out.

Things have changed and I should move on ... but invariably I'll keep going back to it even though I know the relationship is poisonous. I cling on to my one active game like the pictures of us in times of old - it's nothing like it used to be but it gives me a momentary glimpse into what it once was ... the happy illusion shattered as soon as I end my turn.

The relationship has taken much of my time, and - God knows - some of my money.

I don't regret it at all, and the love I experienced will never truly leave me. The memories forever a part of my mind.

Suddenly, I realise that my drunken mind thinks first of you. Just when I thought I was done with it all.

My unfinished maps await like the children. They need attention.

You keep telling me that you've changed, that all of your problems can be worked out, new features can be added, but underneath you're still the same CC that I fell in love with.
