Well that was the bare minimum response that a lot of us were asking for. I was hoping for a little bit more info (like when? and what's the hold up?), but I guess that will just have to pacify me for the next week. (Hopefully not longer than that, right?)

Well it could be another month or two, but you will be the last..er first person to know... :P

Actually I have only been involved in the last couple days, but the original TO had a new baby and has been swamped in real life so can not continue...I have the tiebreakers figured out I am just waiting for a response from one of the players to see if they are upgrading to premium for Round 2, once I find out I will give the list of players to bigwham and then I believe he will be making the Round 2 games.

So because the head 2 head tiebreaker was not able to fairly break the ties we went with the 2nd tiebreaker. These are the following players that will advance:

WPBRJ
Pyrhhus
BENCLUB
Leverpuller
MEP
aalii
alaskanassassin
jpk
shaneback
Winged Cat
PedroV100
Paul Tabinor

I will send the names of all those advancing to bigWham. Good luck all!!

Yay round 2! Thanks for rescuing this from its abandoned state, no matter what the reason it was abandoned.

Well, this is awkward.

I quit CC about a month ago. Most, if not all, of Round 1b games were done and according to the scoreboard I was out. I suppose I could have checked out tiebreakers myself, but I trusted the organizer(s) to keep it accurate. To my opponents for this round, I apologize for my lack of diligence.

But I digress. I'm staying retired. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I hope the organizer(s) can find the time to bump the next guy into my spot.

Farewell and good-bye,
Pyrhhus

PS: Now watch I'll get a C&A report for point dumping. :P

Guess there is no fog rule here?

Thanks MC29 for taking over this.

There is no fog rule as it was not in the original rules...not a problem bigwham was actually the one who got the games going...I just tried to make sure the correct people advanced

Not in the rules, so pretty much to each player's discretion. Personally I messaged all of my opponents in games where I move first telling them I was going to wait unless I heard back from them first.

Yeah I waited 14 hours and most of my opponents got their snaps, I think. I know I got mine in.

...odd. Before this round of this tournament, I'd been lead to believe that this simply wasn't done on CC. Now one of my opponents insulted me for not doing it, after I explained some of my other opponents this round did not extend the same courtesy to me.

Can someone tell me when community consensus on this flipped?

Can we make an addendum for a fog rule?

Re Winged Cat:
I believe most regular tournament/higher ranked/clan players are in favor of a 12 hour fog of war courtesy rule in my experience over the past few years.

I had about 50/50 this round who extended the courtesy or wanted it from me. For the games I went before the 12 hours on, if my opponent asked for it out of courtesy I copy and pasted the notes from my turn to the game chat.

There is no clear guidelines. So people constantly do it and expect it. Others don't follow it at all.

In my opinion if the tourney doesn't clearly lay out that you should abide by the FOW rule then your free to make your own choice and people should not rip into you. If it's a higher ranked tourney where people generally follow that as a courtesy, then it should just be expected in the rules.

I do my best to follow it as a courtesy, but if others go before the 12 hour rule I do not expect anything else from them. They did not break the rules.
Dice stats are irrelevant. If I roll the same amount of 6's as everyone else, but my opponents role 6's at the same time, that's what matters, what's rolled opposite my dice. How about how many total guys I've won and lost while attacking?

I doubt we'll get any rule change for this tourney. The good news is that at least other players can't hold onto their invites until the last second just so that they can go first 5 minutes later. At least both players have somewhat equal chance of going first.

But I definitely agree with you on the second part. I've found that most serious players don't try to get an advantage like that.

to me...in a tournament like this....it's called game etiquette. I intend on waiting for all my opponents. I have already gotten some crappy response like "well, everyone else did it to me"....yeah, and if they all jumped off a bridge .......

I posted the question because someone did it to me. I realized the games were out a little over an hour after they were made, so I war I able to snap the rest.

I waited to take my turns in the games I went first in. I believe its considered common courtesy on this site and almost all players in this tournament know about it. However, 1 starts doing it and a lot of players follow.

How do you set it up so it takes a snap automatically after your turn?
I do not know of this advancement.

Using the "panels" thing in your control panel. It's the site's attempt at incorporating BOB.

If someone took a turn in a fog game within an hour of it being made, I would probably be sure to rate them and check "cheap tactics." No reason for that. Or if they really had to take the turn, they could at least tell you what happened.

Everyone can debate their opinion of the 12hr fog rule. It is not one of the rules though so if you all want to discuss it please take it to the GD or OT forums. Thanks

Two questions.

1. The link to view the details for this tournament and see the scoreboard is being progressively more and more "laggy" to access as games are completed it seems. Is this an issue, and what will happen to load time as we continue to progress in this tournament.

2. The scoreboard seems to be including round 1 and round 2 scores. I was under the impression that eliminations would be decided round by round and every round you would get a "clean slate". Am I reading the rules wrong, or is the scoring wrong and it should be only listed for round 2 scores right now?

1. It does seem a little laggy but I couldn't tell you if it will get worse as we progress through the tournament.

2. The scoreboard shows your record for the whole tournament but to the right of that it shows your remaining games and then the score for this round.
Player Group Record Active Score Status
i.e. 4 ColonelJippd A 15/27 2 8 Active)

In most of the rounds the scores do reset!!
