The lag problems have hurt us badly. I hope they're easing off. At least it seems the game lag is fixed, but the forums continue to be bad. Things were improving very nicely for so long, too, and then the troubles came...

The Off Topic forum has been taken over by a band of derailers that would rather see a stupid thread continue for 6 years of bananas, than a serious discussion. I see many players have given up on CC because of the Off Topic derailers. Some players enjoyed mentally stimulating discussions in OT, but with overwhelming childish derailing, its now a forum of tumbleweeds with the same band of derailers stifling dialogue.

If CC wants to grow and be healthy, some cancerous derailers need to be banned from forums. Then the churn will decrease as players start to enjoy adult conversation in OT and stay to build up member count.

I'd say it's critical now!! The lag will get worse as more ads are added to cover the falling membership, the gameplay is now on the verge of moving completely away from the original format of this site.

The answers to 'fix' the site are simple but again, nobody will do the blazingly obvious!!!! They will continue on the track they've chose stubbornly adding more petrol to the burning corpse of CC.

Now during this winter the rise was minute! Panic buttons will be pressed like f*ck in 3 months when over 2000 less players will be on the scoreboard. Then heads will roll and changes to the forum will be made. Game settings and maps are here to stay, this is a big problem!!

I don't!! Although I'd say it's true. If I had a buisness that was flagging and slowly going under then I'd certainly sit down and wonder why and what I could do to stop the rot.

May I ask how you found this site? I'd imagine like myself, the vast majority googled risk. So why are they now making maps that have little resemblance to risk maps at an even higher ratio to risk style maps?

It's like someone googling Indian cuisine and being directed to a Chinese restaurant. They might be hungry initially, so they'll stop for a bite to eat there to see if they enjoy it but they will soon realise that wasn't what they were looking for and look elsewhere again.

(1) Lots of people care about OT.
(2) OT does reflect real life (as much as a forum is meant to reflect real life).
(3) There is virtually no moderation.
(4) The PC brigade doesn't exist here.

Isn't that question pointless and useless? It uses an impractical assumption. The focus should be on the process because if the results are changed but the process is not, then you'll get results which deviate from the planned results.

This is the basic reason why redistribution cannot be sustainable and why plans for redistribution have failed.
