Anyhow, I suppose at L-3 I should get to claiming... I am the town roleblocker.

I used my block on benga last night to make sure he isnt lurking (he is getting away with it pretty easily lol), but there was a kill. THIS is I wanted to know from jonty so badly if the hider hid behind mafia, because that would mean that there was no mafia kill, and I had likely roleblocked benga.

I was deciding whether to use my role on nag or benga due to the inactivity of the two, but I decided that at least nag was posting of substance when he was posting.

Without a counter claim i'm inclined to believe this. Odds are pretty high that there's a town-aligned role blocker with everyone being a PR; therefore assuming everyone has read the claim then NoS is town imo.

This crasp/hotshot thing is interesting. I admit crasp seems pretty scummy (the OMGUS in itself isnt a huge tell, but an OMGUS and not addressing Hotshots main point is scummy), but on the flipside Hotshot jumped on crasp pretty hard and fast. Note that Hotshot was one of people who jumped onto the eldario wagon. Neither of these things by themselves are particularly scummy, but I feel that there's enough in them to make me think one of either crasp or hotshot is scum (i.e. it's not town vs town). If I was a betting man i'd say Crasp at this stage.

However new_guy also strikes me as scummy. Basically by process of elimination I find him the scummiest out of the people on the eldario wagon (though admitedly there are a couple of people I struggle to read on that wagon - Neb, nag and IB specifically). I am sheeping kgb and anark a bit here, but I am ok with this since I am fairly confident they are town.

tl;dr crasp, hotshot and new_guy are all good vote options. But for now:

Still have three pages left to read, but I would like to post saying a few things. Some of these notes are from yesterday (in game) as I was going to make a post before the day ended, but I was not at the computer when the day ended.

NoS does seem different, not in a bad way though. I played with him when I first started, so I might not remember the specifics of his gameplay. I mention this because yesterday, his play was mentioned.

To virus- I said I would post a vote, but struggled to after rereading. I would have posted, but thought I did. The weekend then came, and I have not been on my computer till now. Goes to loot as well.

Changed vote from NoS (random picked) to Eldario due to Eldario posting all 1 liners. If anyone, he seemed scummy when I took another look on the lynch.

More reading, Ill see if theres something else to post on here when Im done.

Ive had a friend over for a week because he was kicked out of his house. I was not expecting it, but cant say I didnt have time to execute all of my daily actions on here. Its mostly because I forgot. The one night I got on this week, I caught up on anark's game and then went to sleep. He wont be coming back this week (hopefully) so I should be able to keep up with the game and give more timely responses.

I think I answered everything. Current cases, I see everyone taking the easy option with the new player (I havent seen him around and he seems to be playing that card). While his play is scummy, I havent seen on this site where a new guy was pressured like this, well besides those like eagleblade. This seems like a case of who slipped up first, though I cant say there is a better one. I will hold my vote due to the fact I have to read and I have a feeling that I skimmed some when I read through when I started getting votes, so I want to reread to make sure I dont miss stuff.

As far as i can see IB and hotshot are acting like a tag team running scum from the front and picking of town. check there voting. I wont be declaring because i think i can achieve more by being lynched. When my role is revealed remember who instigated this. By that time another two townies at least will have gone, probably including the role blocker who was also outed by the Ib hotshot team. he is the a role blocker. If he is town or not will probably be revealed by if he survives the night.

1. It takes 8 to lynch. You just cast the 6th vote. Nice work. I'm tempted to lynch just for the stupidity of this.
2. You've played a couple games here, you're not shiny new to this game.
3. You put yourself at L-2. Claim...or risk being lynched. Don't get butt-hurt because people are calling you scummy. It's part of the game. Accept that your play is less than stellar and learn from it.
4. Finally, if you're town, there is no way you can achieve more by getting lynched. Staying alive to vote and participate would be a better option...You've done multiple scummy things here...better luck next game.

If you are town no one knows you are town.

You exhibited classic scum tactics of scummarining/lurking. I simply called it as I saw it. Others have the right to agree or disagree. If you are town it is your play style that is drawing suspicion so you have only yourself to blame.

Playing stompy feet will only get you lynched. I tried it several games back in game of thrones to see if it would work by refusing to claim at L2 because there was no case just politics. Feel free to check the archives to see how that turned out.

Hmm.... can someone confirm that there is such a role? The only role I have found on mafia scum with the ability to figure out the actual role is Mafia Cop...
Oh after google searching, I found this on mafiawiki:

I am not convinced. Especially if he had to backpedal to say his role.

Oh man...FULL CLAIM. That includes name. But you're right...There is nothing you can say that would change my mind. Role cop is a very useful role in a non VT game for mafia to have...

I'm not sure whether to believe the claim or not... I have seen role cop used a few times already in the games I've been playing here, seems somewhat common on this forum. And so far I've seen it be a town role mostly. The extreme reluctance to role claim, and then saying he investigated the one role that was already claimed does raise significant questions as to the claim's validity though. Of course NoS was the most suspected after day 1, so it's not surprising if he did investigate him. And crasp's posts since the claim have seemed more towny/newbish.

The main issue is that even if a true claim, that role can be either scum or town.

And putting your name in the claim is usually recommended for a full claim... although in a game like this without a full back-story I'm not sure that will help as much.

I'm 50-50 right now whether to go ahead and lynch, or to unvote and look elsewhere. Since we still have another week until the deadline, I will unvote for now and see what else happens before deciding to vote him again or look elsewhere

If he is taking the piss, then he will stay alive because mafia won't kill someone with that power.

If he is telling the truth, he is not going to be overly useful to town to begin with, and he is most likely going to continue to cause confusion.
