To be frank, Cheme has been running this competition, & for him to still be chasing clans to join games at this late stage of the event is disconcerting.
Specially since it's now all 4 of the clans involved in the CCup 4 semi's that have been responsible for some delays, and I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation for top clans that play so well on the field, should be organised off it & be able to join games in a timely fashion.

Kort has already been warned once earlier in the competition & were slow joining some games in the last round; Tofu requested an extension for batch 1 after already starting the competition with a bye; & now both Ace & TSM are behind in joining games for their respective batches.
So there really are few words that can be used to explain why such top-flight clans need constant babysitting & frequent interventions to ensure they stay on-track in the competition.

You must remember that penalties have already been assigned after significant delays in the atl-ra war, so it's unlikely that greater leniency will be shown here, and it would be very unfortunate if forfeits decide what are sure to be closely fought out encounters at this stage of the competition.

5 days is more than enough time to join games, and for there to continue being lapses is irking, after there having been a concerted drive throughout the competition to keep it on track. Unfortunately this war is a week behind the other semi-final (purely because of how the competition was structured), so it does continue to remain imperative that there are no unnecessary delays.

We have stated that there will be leniency shown, so I don't think we've reached the point of no return, but there eventually will come a time where all limits have been breached, so I feel it is my solemn duty to share a reminder of the consequences of any repeated lapses, by sharing the rules as they currently stand, and as most likely they may eventually be applied.

nothing that you say or post from your little rules can justify the actions.

So that gives him a license to be a jerk?

Look I'm all for following the rules and that is exactly my point. You either follow them or bend them.
But don't bend them and then be a jerk. If the rules are there enforce them and move on. Coming here
and spouting a bunch of profanities at paying customers is appalling. I wouldn't take it from any where else
and I don't plan on sitting here complacent letting you make excuses for a jackass. period.

It's a delicate balancing act between keeping things moving and interesting and treating paying customers
with respect. We as paying customers agree to the rules when we begin. If we don't follow them then enforce them.
but don't come here and start throwing around harsh language because of your frustrations. That is why you
have the rules in the first place so you don't have to be a jackass. Get it?

Leehar, no one in our clan and I'm quite certain KORT believe in breaking rules; things come up and we adapt the best way we can. As mentioned, Skill will be back tonight and the remaining games will be joined by tomorrow morning - no harm, no foul. Chem could have easily sent a different message instead of his rather immature rant especially here, in the war thread in which everyone reads; unprofessional to say the least.

I think the words that explain it are: it's a tough job creating teams, ensuring that everyone on those teams is available and willing to play (people take breaks!), potentially cajoling people to join when too many people want a break (particularly when the clans still in the competition are realistically forbidden from adding new experienced clan members) , getting invites sent out in a very small time window if the single person capable of sending the invites happens to be busy or away for a brief time, etc, etc.

Leehar wrote:5 days is more than enough time to join games, and for there to continue being lapses is irking, after there having been a concerted drive throughout the competition to keep it on track.

It sounds like a lot of time, but see my above words for reasons why that window closes all too quickly. I do understand how that can feel very frustrating to the CDs, though.

Let us all hope then that there are no tie breakers required in either semi final competition, as the cup has a built in potential delay of a month or more in such a case. Perhaps next year the total number of games for each stage of the cup can be an odd number.

Meet Chemefreak...

R.Tycoon, i, countless of times, tried to tell this director to behave over other members in cc, he(or other parties talking on his behalf) all the times explained as this was his way/style...f*ck that style...

Now, today, i am so glad to see it super clear i am not alone to see this is complete rudeness...
He may be volunteer job here does not any mean he can be rude over us, we paid members...

He may have close friend that he can speak rude through jokingly...But i am not your friend, AND I AM QUITE BORED TO SEE YOUR SWEARINGS/profanities ALL AROUND ALL THE TIMES.

Thank you f.holiday and r.tycoon.

I AM GOING TO PICK ADMIN'S ATTENTIONS IN VERY THIS POST,
TO SHOW IT IS NOT ONLY HARDATTACK BUT THERE ARE SUPER FUN/RESPECTABLE SOME OF CC MEMBERS TO THINK ON THE MATTER JUST VERY SIMILAR WITH ME, THEN WILL ASK ADMINS TO RECONSIDER THE SITUATION AND MAKE NECCESARY TALK WITH THIS DIRECTOR ASKING HIM TO BEHAVE !!!

I SIMPLY DONT UNDERSTAND IT WHY LEEHAR / KEEFIE, i mean everyone, has no problem in telling stories in normal way of language but when it comes to c.freak this language changes from nice into rude ?

WHY DOES HE FEELL VERY FREE USING SUCH LANGUAGE OVER MANY OF US WHILE HE LOCKS MANY THREADS AND REPORTS MANY PPL FOR VERY SAME LANGUAGE THEY MAY USE ?

WHY IS CHEMEFREAK WITH THIS LARGE DOUBLE STANDARDS ?

THESE ARE QUESTIONS.

ENOUGH !!!

I really do just want to move on.

I completely agree. I must say he has sucked the fun right out of the whole thing so I just want to get it
over with and be done with this whole debacle. Obviously he is wrong. we all know it. If it continues
folks will end up taking their ball and going home. He can play in his little competition himself.

I find it hard to believe that the person who just forked over the cash to buy this site thinks that is a good
business model.

But seriously I digress. I don't want to talk about it anymore in this thread or fight for something that should
just be common knowledge.

Know let's try to keep things moving and bring back the fun. Please.

The monkis asked us for a little extra time to fill a few of the games with more challenging settings. I'm the one who agreed. If blame must be placed, put it on me, and chew my hide. But our respective clan members didn't do anything wrong, so don't make this a downer for all of them.

No mod should EVER behave like that. It's unprofessional and he needs a swift kick up the arse.

This is a game site. We, the players, pay to play here, we're not being paid to come here. That's not to say that I don't appreciate the time that you guys put into all of this, but there has to be some give and take. I'm a mod myself elsewhere, I ran competitions and it can be frustrating when people don't comply with rules, but you deal with it in the best way you can without being a jerk about it. I know better than most just how thankless it can be at times, and there have been times that I wanted to pack it in and walk away. However, you have to remember that the clan leaders are also doing a volunteer job. They give up their time the same as the CDs do to try and ensure things run smoothly. Fishydance is amazing in all she does for Kort and I am sure TSM have someone doing the same. Life happens, so things don't always go to plan. 5 days is very little time when it comes to getting people into games. KORT has three fully active cup-tied players under your rules, so games have to be filled by annoying busy people to take up games in some cases. There was an agreement between the clans to give TSM more time due to someone having a real life. Oh wait... :/ right, there is no such thing as real life, only Conquer Club. I think that should be at the discretion of the clans involved if they want to give a few extra days to the opponent. This is not a professional gaming site, there is no grand prize for winning, just the satisfaction of taking a title for our clans. It's supposed to be fun, and it's not fun when someone comes in here and stirs up shit in our thread, especially when there's an agreement. No one wants any games to be forfeited over something like this. Next time, maybe discuss things with the clan leaders rather than spouting profanities in the thread. That's all I am going to say on this, I felt it needed saying.

PS. No one better chew Fishydance's hide. She's awesome. <3

That said, good luck to everyone. Don't let this put a downer on our fun. ;)

good post Shannon. It is a strange but not unpleasant situation for Cows and Monki's to be locked together in some kind of unholy, semi-coital embrace in the rebuke of common foe (poetic licence please). All in the midst of what was supposed to be the battle.

PS. Skillfull is our Fishydance .... (very odd the sentences you find yourself to have written.)

5 Days is reasonable mount of time for filling games I think, but this was exceptional case of someone being away just those 2 days when games were about to start. Between two solutions which are:

1) Skip round by that player (he is by the way in 6 games) which is one solution voiced by Chariot of Fire (and accepted by CDs as rule) as better thing to do than to join and possibly play opening round by a sitter.

2) Agree to delay the joining time for a few days (2 days in this case) which applies ONLY to games where the absent player plays.

In this case, BOTH clans agreed for solution (2) and this is not the first time in Conquer Cup that clans made mutual agreement about a little delay of joining games because of some exceptional circumstances. Finally, didn't TOFU delayed exchange games date for 2 days, which affected 20 games of batch 1, which is much less than 6 delayed games in this war? If they can get 2 extra days for 20 games, why TSM should not get 2 extra days for 6 games?

behaviour of a MAKO shark...
what business does a MAKO SHARK have in our waters, lol ?
(this is a joke dako, yet i respect you old friend)

to explain things a bit for you my old/good friend;

this guy, chemefreak is very the same guy (now listen this very carefully pls dako) who had said why do you ATLANTIS folks make it this big of a 7 days delay risk attackers caused ? which was 2-3 months ago which took place in between ATLANTIS - RISK ATTACKERS and chemefreak.

Chemefreak was not any discomfortable that day with a 7-10 days delay but today he is with 4 days of delay...
What we are super discomfortable with is, the large double standards in between two similar things...

Damn HardAttack, you've been getting private english lessons from Genoke again. Your skills at treating the english language are on par with chemepeaks recent treatment of paying customers. How dare chemegreak get so grumpy, so early in the year. Peaking way to early, very bad form. We have an ambulance chaser* in Atlantis, who gets quite grumpy when work is not going well. Maybe cremefreak is acting on similar stress triggers? I do think we should cut him some slack. Generally he reserves his vitriol for individuals that he dislikes, and doesn't make a public frothing at the mouth spray like seen earlier in this thread. Was he nasty? Yes. Were his phrases a bit more robust than needed? Yes. Does this one public sloppy brain fart negate all his hard work over the years? No.

mmooooooooooooooving on before I get side tracked again.

Good luck to both Clans!

GO COWS

*HardAttack, ambulance chaser is a rude/slang/colloquial term for personal injury lawyers. Sometimes used for lawyers in general.

ENOUGH !!!
