I picked Finland and USA in the right place. There is still a chance for my Canada and Russia placements to just be transposed and I will get 3 of the top 5 right.

It's hard to forget such a recent fond memory, winning on home ice to boot as well. But it was in the WC, not in the olympics. And we had home ice advantage. I'm not sure who the russians will be cheering for in Sochi but it won't be like in Globen, even if our king is present .

I think the Bronze medal game is going to be between two noticably tired teams and therefore I don't see a low scoring affair. USA wins 4-3.
Gold medal game is going to feature two teams that have gotten more rest and also the two best defensive teams with hot goalies, I see a low scoring game with Sweden edging out a win late in the third period. 2-1. But of course it might be the other way around, and Canada wins with a small margin. What would really surprise me is if the game turns into goal feast or that one team clearly wins the game with several (none open netter's) goals.

It's a good thing. After we lost in the World Juniors, there were calls for an Official Inquiry into the state of Hockey Canada.
Back to back shutouts... and back to back Gold Medals.
Last team to do that was Russia who went 3x.
It's a shame Sweden's roster was lacking centers,
but Team Canada's defense was awesome with
few pucks finding the back of their net. Just 3 in 6 games???
