swahoogie -intentional missing a turn/ secret diplomacy [ka]

Postby Hannibal 19 on Fri Jan 31, 2014 12:07 pm

Accused:

swahoogie
D-Rock42

The accused are suspected of:

Secret Diplomacy
Intentional Deadbeating

Game number(s):

Game 13856318

All started in round 19 out of 20 in Battle Royale Colosseum map. I was the troup leader by 8 troups in total, counting the last round, with troups due over swahoogie. Then he miss a turn in round 19 and I checked, he was online and played a turn in another game. When I accused him for intentional deadbeating, he show up and deploy his troups and 10 deferred troops for missing 1 round. But, I know his plan was to deploy that troups at the end of the round 20, so the other players, who didnt read the game log, thinking that he had 10 troups less then he actually have. Maybe I was stupid for writing all in game chat and he will probably get it away with it because he didnt deploy them at the and of the round, but I was angry and I need to write it. And then, the strangest thing hapenned on the start of round 20. D-Rock42, the player who have 60 troups less then me, instead of hiting some other player with 30 or 40 troups and collect points, because it was a terminator game, he just deployed on his stack, kill 3 neutrals on Armoury, reduce my stack for 18 troups and he finnish turn after that. I am 1000% sure that it was Secret Diplomacy in stake, because there is no other explanation for his move. I am so angry and frustrated right now not because 200 or more points, then because 51 terminator kill and my battle royale gold medal. I don't think they are stupid to make an alliance using messages on cc, they have a lot other ways to comunicate so I honestly don't believe you will cought them, but I still felt that I need to write a post here. By the way, the game is still on and we don't know who will win. Accused swahoogie is the troup leader right now and I could easily reduce his stack so that other player win, but I'm not that kind of person.

Intentional deabeating is different from missing a turn. Deferred troops that one gets for missing a turn is acquired after the attack phase of the next turn. If you happen to break any bonus that he holds, his deferred troops will lessen. Regardless, that player will always get something once he comes back to take his turn. It is not an advantage to miss a turn.

What evidence do we have that swahoogie and D-Rock42 were in a secret alliance in this game? Because D-Rock42 attacked Hannibal 19 and that would only be possible if swahoogie and D-Rock42 had an agreement about it? So this player can not attack anyone (at a critical stage) unless another player told him so? I checked if they had any games together prior to this and this is their only game played together so far. If our only proof of secret diplomacy is based on someone who had no chance of winning and attacked someone who would have possibly won the game, then there is also a strong possibility that would be on that player's decision and not because he had a secret alliance with anyone. Maybe he didn't just want to watch. First game together, no wall post exchanges or anything else? We would need more than what we currently have.

He wanted to say - as Battle Royale was going to be decided by troop count, no-one would attack someone who doesn't have most troops. By missing turn swahoogie led people to deception he is the weakest, and by starting turn he dropped all on himself and the deferred troops as well and that made him the man with most troops on the battlefield... it was probably a well planned move, and threfore intentionally missing the turn.

Secret diplomacy is also suspect here as the TS is suspicious of D-Rock42's attack on him. Now, intentionally missing a turn in order to 'trick' people to ignore you in a near ending round limit game looks to be a sneaky and yet risky tactic. It could be a make or break for the player.

I am thinking that under that situation, it looks like fair play as you did it in order to win and not to throw the game away. Still, intentionally missing your turn (if done numerous times or becomes a habit), could be irritating. Let's not make this a gross abuse of the game. This shall be noted.
