i find that having your floating chat is indeed handy, however, for some reason it always seems to get stuck at the top of my screen and the top section where you grab it is always hidden under the top of screen.

Re: GM Script: chatglove - a floating game chat - version 1.
I wonder if this could be updated so that if the only new chat is a snapshot it gets ignored... If that's all the chat there is, I don't really care about checking it.
Also, was this fixed so tht it still works with the beta team? IcePack told me he thought there might have been an update for that. If that's the case, I'll rejoin the beta team.

Re: GM Script: chatglove - a floating game chat - version 1.
THIS IS JUST A TEMP FIX UNTIL CREATOR OF THE SCRIPT UPDATES IT.
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/292268
IMPORTANT!
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/292268
IMPORTANT!
- when you run it for the first time you may have to press "reset chat position" if you cant see the chat.
- in panel interface you can only see the detached chat when you would be able to see the chat.
- ignore snapshots.
- works with clickys (took time.......)
- fixed so the menu looks like all other menus. (not shorter anymore)
- save position in a new way. (its saves where you drop it)
- works in inbox menu (leftnav is missing id tag in the inbox)
- works nice with the new panel interface (and without ofc)

This should just be replacing the older version. I don't think that dwilhelmi is active anymore.dgz345 wrote:THIS IS JUST A TEMP FIX UNTIL CREATOR OF THE SCRIPT UPDATES IT.

Nice work, dgz!
And you are right chap - dwilhelmi isn't active anymore, and I no longer have the time to make these kind of updates.

I'm happy to see scripts live and be updated, no matter who is doing the work.
I think the only script left that is still updated by its creator is Watch This Game by Dako - every other script is (I believe) updated by someone else. And I think that's great!
Re: GM Script: chatglove - a floating game chat - version 1.
well "Watch This Game" was bug fixed by me before he updated it XDFoxglove wrote:Totally ok with me!dgz345 wrote:i can ask wham if i should upload it to CC official addons http://userscripts.org/users/543029/scriptsFoxglove wrote:Nice work, dgz!

Re: GM Script: chatglove - a floating game chat - version 1.
dwil, are you still handling Chatglove? I have a few suggestions:
Once I've written my comment in a game, I don't need to know that MY new comment is new chat. Therefore I suggest that new chat that the user initiates not be included as New Chat.
In that same arena, Can you please make it such that when we click the "Mark all chat as read" button, that it doesn't wipe out the red, but when go to another tab and I click on My games, then the same chat that has been marked as read, comes up again. I actually have to click it several times (2 minimum) for it to take effect.
I'm running Firefox 28.0 (don't like the newest versions) and 1.6.17 Chatglove--which btw, I LOVE!!! (apart from these minor problems.)
Lastly, sometimes, esp in the top left corner of the screen, the floating box will relocate itself to under the top banner, so that it can't be moved. I realize that all I have to do is Reset the Chat, but it becomes tiresome and know that that isn't what you or Foxy meant to happen. Wonder why it moves itself like that?
Thanks for the fix!

It's a persistent problem which the 1.8.1 version doesn't resolve.Captn B wrote:dwil, are you still handling Chatglove? I have a few suggestions:

I found these links. Are they the right ones?
chatglove by angelans: http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/64532
something else by dolomite: http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/review/172733
not sure what the second one does
what I really want is something to automatically append new chat from chat log and/or the game log to a text file on my computer
