Sorry for the confusion everyone. We're good to go with a full slate. Final 3 registrants are alternates. Given the length of time this took to fill, they could certainly be called into action. Stand-by for first round invites. Good luck!

Privileges have been given. Invite away!

Ok, here's where we are at:

1) The draw has been done for all of the first round 5-player standard games (WWII Europe). Invites have been sent and the first half of the games, which were done last week, are already active. We have, at the moment, at least two people who have left the site since registering. All alternatives have been exhausted, so I will be seeking replacements.

2) Once I get those replacements and slot them into those games, I will do the draw for the second and third set of games (4-player standard) and get those invites out, hopefully by the end of this weekend. Terminator games will follow.

3) Assassin and 1-player games will be drawn and sent once we start getting some standard games finished.

Both above are in the tournament. Need at least 1 more and it looks like possibly another--have to wait on the invites. Appreciate those who stepped up. We should be all systems go in a day or two.

Update...

1) We still need one player for sure, in Game 13336718.

2) It appears we might need another player in Game 13336728, but I am giving waauw one last chance to join.

3) I have no idea what is going on with Game 13336729. It had 4 players joined, now it only has 1. Invites re-sent. Please join ASAP or let me know if there is some kind of issue.

You are in.

That takes care of point #1 above. Will need to wait another day to see where we're at with #2 and #3, but we're getting very close to being all systems go.

Ok, you're in.

Down to 1 game that needs to get started, but it's the one where multiple players have dropped. Need AT LEAST 1 more alternate, who would play immediately. Possibly need 1-2 more, but I've sent PMs to the players who missed those invites.

Terminator games have been sent.

Scoreboard is updated and public; link in first post.

Amazingly, someone either forgot to join or dropped one of the first WWII games. It has just been recreated and sent. Please join ASAP so that game can catch up to the others as quickly as possible.

Assassin (Ireland) games comes next, then we'll start the 1v1 matches (London).

An update on where things stand.

All the Standard 1 (WWII Europe) and Assassin (Ireland games are done. Just a few stray, British Isles, Scotland, and England games to clean up. The Wales (terminator 2) games are taking the longest.

Two sets of London 1v1 games are out and most are complete. Will draw and send the third set of games soon.

Scoreboard is fully updated. Remember that top 60 players make the next round (line 62 and above on the scoreboard).

First round is winding down to a close.

At the moment, 12 points is the minimum needed to progress, but that could still increase slightly. Hoping we avoid a tie for #60--or, if we have a tie, there's a clean tiebreaker--but not worth running all the permutations quite yet.

Hope to get Round 2 started shortly. Once we are sure of the 60 qualifiers, I'll do that (even if there is a game or two lingering from the first round).

Please double-check your scores. If anyone has a question, let me know.

I believe it's now impossible to avoid a tiebreaker for the final spots. Here's where we stand:

1) As of right now, anyone with 14 points or more qualifies for Round 2. That means we know 56 of the 60 qualified players.

2) There will be a tiebreaker for players finishing on 12 points no matter what happens.

3) The only question is how many players end up on 12 points and how many spots will be available. We need Frito Bandito's, Ratrin's and Silvertop's final games to finish first.

4) Since none of the players on 12 points won a standard 5-player game, the tournament rules call for a multi-player tiebreaker on the Ireland map, using standard tournament settings. HOWEVER, that could take several weeks and really slow us down. IF (and I stress the "if") there is a clean scenario with an even amount of players on 12 points (4 is the only possibility), I will work to arrange 1v1 matches, using a random draw, to conduct the tiebreaker so long as all players are in agreement.

No matter what, Silvertop's final game--the England terminator game--will take a little while. So Round 2 is going to face a bit of a delay regardless. Will work to move us forward as quickly as possible.

5-way tie for the final spots. Ireland tiebreaker created, with a 20-round limit and tournament settings. Top 3 advance to the second round.

As this sort of tie was not planned for, the following rules apply:

1) The last 3 players standing in this game advance
2) If the game goes to the round limit, the 3 players with the most troops advance
3) If there is a tie at the round limit, the ties will be broken by who had the most points going into the game

Good news. General Flashman has left the site, so he's eliminated. That means we have 4 players for 3 spots.

I sent two 1v1 games out with a 20 round limit on the London map. The winners advance to Round 2. The losers will play a final tiebreaker to determine the 60th spot.
