Mods why was I banned?

I was banned yesterday briefly. I have received neither an e-mail or a private message explaining why. Just before I was banned I started a thread asking whether AK iceman did the right thing. There was a poll and you could add your name if you thought that he was wrong.

That thread was deleted and I got banned for a short while. Can I get an explanation?

Please only create one thread. You were forum banned for posting in multiple unrelated threads about the spamalot thing, derailing those threads. Certain bans don't automatically send emails; we're working to fix that.

you were posting in threads that had nothing to do with spamalot. the one I deleted was in the thread asking if you'd get your teammate's cards if attacking them.

but surely posting a few times with some reference to spamalot doesn't deserve being banned especially without any kind of reason why?

ummm, you were spamming. it's against the guidelines. maybe you should stop

It wasn't spamming and it didn't derail the thread. All it was was a reference to spamalot. It did not deserve being banned without any reason whatsoever.

You don't get it. You posted in threads that had NOTHING to do with spamalot just to whine about spamalot. That is considered spam and is deletable without warning.

And when you do it in multiple threads like you did, it's considered trolling and that is a bannable offense. Good thing for you this one was only temporary.

Mods you are wasting your time. You have much more worthwhile things to do than ban a person which posted what a few times.

And wicked why was that thread about AK deleted? Was that spam?

When people start trolling, we start deleting. We don't take time in the cleanup to distinguish which posts might be ok, because at that point, the user has lost all posting privileges.

But why was I banned? All you had to do was delete those posts and send me a private message and I would've been happy. Is it really that hard?

AK and wicked, can some1 please post the posts in question.... does any1 have a way of getting at them? it would help the argument greatly. it should be pretty obvious what the decision should b if we see the posts and what threads they were in.

and i think that spamalot is a VERY touchy subject for everyone involved hence why Iliad may have posted in other threads and also why AK may have been a bit trigger happy with the ban.

having said all this i know very little about spamalot as i didn't post there and don't really know about the situation
