To the people voting Democracy and Japan and not placing a real freaking vote....

This game is too far in to be wasting your votes... It just makes you look like a suspicious lurker that won't choose a side on any of the debates going on right now. You will most likely be the people that 1) mafia tries to make look guilty or 2) a vig gets nervous of because of your lack of heart and NKs you or 3) someone like myself gets nervous because you are clearly not concerned about the townies and in progressing the game in a positive way, so a bandwagon forms and you are lynched...

hahaha :) Its not that I'm not willing to take a side its just that I could vote either way on the side, there are some points against Doom, and some others against Tal. I'm currently deciding on which one to actually vote, but voting Japan is currently similar to my unvote, and Rodian apparently doesn't have a vote today. I'm also pretty sure a vote stealer would be scum aligned and I don't want to allow scum to have the chance to surprise hammer.

That's ringing all sorts of bells so if you know what game that was, tell me. Not that I enjoy my fail moments but hey...can learn from em.

I tend to agree with yer points on Doom but he did take my stance against Commander on Day 1 so I'm holding onto my vote for now.

Nah I don't remember in which game this happened, was hoping you would, pretty sure it was a Chu game though. And that we won somehow

If you, as a mafia busdriver, know where the vig kill is going, you can target that kill to any player you want. How is that hard to understand ffs? It's a standard mafia busdriver move and the very reason that directing vig kills can be bad.

Cult or anything has nothing whatsoever to do with it.

OMFG this again, how is this role standard? I challenge you to find how many mafia busdrivers have been used in the past 3 years and if that number is higher than 5 I'll give credence to this BS.

Flamingo r sulking isn't gonna help your case... I'm almost at the point where I don't even give a f*ck whether you're really scum or not. Almost.

Skoffin wrote:Personally, I do not trust either Tal or Doom in this case. I didn't like Doom's attitude or actions on the previous day, and I don't like it now; however Tal seems to be taking a similar approach. You can't claim to have never called upon a vig when many of your posts the previous day heavily implied it. Also, if I recall correctly, Doom was not the only one to mention a mafia busdriver.
Both cases being thrown about have their element of bollocks, and I think both should be looked into.
I will have to do a search and see what I can find on the morrow, in the mean time old beans I must say cheerio.

Lol I was just thinking it'd be great if Skoff has a PR that makes her not post in red just once...
Doom was the first one to mention a mafia busdriver, I checked.

Besides this argument and the general annoyance, there's simply too many threads that have been woven around Doom yesterday and today IMO.

JamesKer1 wrote:I was the other person who voted you last night. Hopefully we can get more than that tonight. I love how none of that whole message was responded to except my general reasoning for voting you.

a

Quite honestly James it's because I'm kinda done dealing with you as a player...let me explain.

I get you are new to mafia and all that jazz but so far dealing with your hypocritical actions and reasoning is just exhausting. You start with a random vote on day one, post about not reading long posts, and scummarine for multiple pages. Yet you somehow find the time to find one of the multiple posts calling your inactivity out and quote it. Then you tell us in that same post you'll respond later after work. That post never came and discussions continue.

Now it's funny you call me out in the above post for not responding to a whole message when thats exactly what you did most of day one and you were called out on it. When you did respond the majority of everything was directed at me even though multiple discussions were happening. And quite honestly it looked like you did so because Doom and I had the most active discussion going on at the time. I didn't respond to Doom's whole message for two reasons. At the time he was obviously pissed and saying anything would have upset him more which I'm sure you picked up on. Secondly, he thought the whole thing was a completely useless argument...so why respond? Now that Doom has a clearer head I will respond to his inquiries.

However your complete waste of a vote on me for making Doom rage quit is worse than a joke. Seriously thats what you thought was needed? He can handle himself. I never made anyone do anything so calm yourself and your reasoning. The fact that it's day 2 though and you are chiming in right after Doom makes me suspicious though and I'll explain it. Most new players that are mafia or scum have a hard time figuring out how best to play their roll. Quite honestly it looks an awful lot like your current play style. The chiming in after Doom, the focusing on the player that Doom is/was, the BS vote about voting me for making Doom rage quit, so ya calling it like I see it. And right now it looks an awful lot like you may have a stake in his living through the game. I voted Doom last night and it's there today, I think he may be scum and with what looks like you being an echo for him on many things makes me think you might be a scum buddy.

So ya there it is easy to understand. Now if you don't mind I'll respond to Doom now and continue the discussions. Should you choose to contribute in a meaningful way between napping, sipping your juice box and coloroing outside the lines then I may respond but ya...not very motivated when it comes to dealing with you at the moment.

Could it be that he knows for a fact there was a mafia busdriver, because his scumbuddy Mandy was one? Slipup I say.

I'll go out on a limb so long I'll stand like a flamingo there but even counting the possible third parties I think 4 scum per faction is quite likely in a Chu game and that if Doom is scum we'll have another ready to put in the body bag.

James, from the way you've played, there seems to be a link between you and Doom. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but this is normally a scum trait. You voted tal for a weak reason (yes you had his illogical reasoning as well, but in this scenario only, and only Doom is responsible for his supposed ragequit.

Secondly, just because you're buddying up to Doom, doesn't mean he's going to buddy up to you. Scum will often try to distances themselves from each other to avoid a chain series of lynch. So FOS James

Also, unvote Neb but still a FOS when I voted him he was a clear runaway (in my eyes) as a good D2 lynch, now some other runners have entered the field).

So I am calm now Tal. Any response on why you built your argument day 1 around a role which is town, with night kills, but not a vig, even going so far as to say there is no way town doesn`t have a role like that and yet I am an asshole for assuming there is a vig?

First off I had no clue he was town. I thought more than anything he had a win condition linkied to a lynch with the way he was acting. Scum or 3rd party were also on my mind but not town. Secondly I never said you were an asshole, so again calm yourself. As for the whole vig argument it is easy...I have never considered a person with a one shot kill ability a vig. All vig roles I clearly remember from Chu's games consist of them having some kind of handicap where they have to kill each night or they kill but can miss intended target and hit others, etc. Vig rolls in chu games are messed up.

As for why I am convinced there are one shots that should be far more obvious. It is apparent Chu has given people PR's or actions based on character roles for there role. When com9 9 was discussing his role and abilities with the whole PR talks it made it sound like others may have one shots. Then this day starts and Rodion claims he can't vote due to a role mechanic which I questioned him about. I questioned him because I too got a one time ability just for the day. It isn't a kill, but let me tell you it makes absolutely no sense when/if tied to my character/role. Now I highly doubt I'm the only one but no one is talking about it.

But come on, it's a Chu Game. Rod lost his vote for day and I get a one time day ability. Thats 2 peeps out of everyone here. So I'm really thinking Chu is throwing out some random day abilities all over. Would love to hear from others on this. Don't have to claim what you got, but would be nice to know. then there is that whole useless PR stuff. So yes think there are people in this game with ability to one shot someone.

DoomYoshi wrote:FTR, for those of you not paying attention, when I say lynch or replace, I actually am talking about the imaginary game system that Talapus is playing in.

Imaginary game system? The one making a statement that on day one with 27 players about a maia busdriver busing a player they know are going to get vigged. Seriously no one would know who a vig would target day one without inside info. If I'm living in an imaginary game system you are too pal. That statement was actually why I voted you today along with yesterday's suspicions. I understand you were responding to ga7 but really the only way something as crazy as this would happen is if someone had that inside info.

You might have missed the post where I mentioned I'm voteless (hint: it was the same post where I voted Democracy). Regardless, I'm not using that as an excuse to scummarine: I AM trying to participate and voice my opinion, which right now is that Talapus is all over the place (he hasn't replied to my question yet, by the way).

GA7 - Yoshi never said the role was standard, he said it was a standard move for that role. Regarding the challenge, I distinctly remember 2 games: Pokemon 2 and Final Fantasy VII. I'm not sure whether Yoshi will be able to find 3 more cases, but people here speculate about the existence of mafia busdrivers in more games than you would imagine. If you consider anything can happen in a Chu game (and this seems to be unanimous throughout the thread) it is not far-fetched to consider the possibility of a mafia busdriver.

Jonty, Kwanton is not playing the game.

Proof of what? No where in there did I say vig. In all honestly I was referring more to the peeps with one shots as Chu loves the one shot roles. All the vig rolls he usually gives are handicapped or perverted in some way so they aren't helpful that much. Why you flew off the handle and responded that way is beyond me but seriously why respond or give it thought if it was a dumb argument to begin with?

Makes no sense to me what so ever. So....Vote: Doom

Does it really matter whether Comm was getting shot by a vig or by a 1-shot Chu role? Wouldn't both bullets be equally busdrivable?

Sure, but I made a case several times about how a busdriver would be stupid to bus him with a possibility he might be cult. Thats like throwing the game away. Turns out com9 was town so moot point.

I used mafia busdriver once (Tarantino Mafia) and mafia was very very strong in that game to the point of imba. Yes, we could have a mafia busdriver, but given that we have multiple anti town roles, it would make more sense for the mafia busdriver to be looking out for his own group instead of trying to screw over town given the lack of information Day 1. That and there was no definite evidence that Com was town. I'm not saying that mafia busdriver is impossible Doom, I just see very little upside to the mafia busdriver (if there even is one) targeting Com on Night 1.

No I did not receive a day action.

And I was the one who voted for Jamesker during twilight of Day 1. I think Doom and Tal are most likely two townies (or two mafia members on different factions) yelling at each other.

Space Mafia that just finished. It`s a standard role in JK9++.

Romeo and Juliet Mafia and Matrix Mafia both had survivor factions with a busdriver.

Harry Potter, NCIS and Halo both had a mafia busdriver - not a 1-shot.

The mods of the games who had mafia busdrivers:
Me (Pokemon Chap. 2, JK9++, Space Mafia)
Rodion (FFVII)
freezie (Harry Potter)
chapcrap (NCIS)
jak111 (Halo)

These games were all in 2012 except for FFVII, which was in 2011. The point is it doesn`t matter how frequently it appears since a) this is a fircoal game and b) fircoal hasn`t been here in 2 years more or less

Not to mention Tarantino mafia that saf mentioned and this game, coincidentally.

Now, this is major WIFOM and all but do you really think I would openly buddy up to Mandy if we were scumbuddies and then I would call aage a mafia busdriver because my partner is one? This situation is so far removed from reality as to be a non-case.

@Talapus: Ok, I understand your side; let`s agree to disagree about hypothetical situations involving comm9. If I could I would vote comm9 again just for all the bs he caused on Day 2.

One shotting him would have been the ideal, thats what I really wanted. Then wed have info, still get a vote and then have night. That never happened. But one shotting in the night would have been acceptable. Instead we still voted him and I still think it was a waste, now more so because he was town but let's face it, not his best game so he deserved his quick death.

Woah woah...wait....was that me? Did I make that claim?
That's ringing all sorts of bells so if you know what game that was, tell me. Not that I enjoy my fail moments but hey...can learn from em.

I tend to agree with yer points on Doom but he did take my stance against Commander on Day 1 so I'm holding onto my vote for now.

Nah I don't remember in which game this happened, was hoping you would, pretty sure it was a Chu game though. And that we won somehow
I like your reasoning that because he took your stance against the lynched townie he's not suspicious btw :P

Guess I'm re-reading NV4 tonight!
Oh, to elaborate, my case against Commander was that he was assuming the night actions were going to go in a certain way, I called BS and Doom said the same thing practically. I voted Doom anyway so hey ho. ^^

Ok, so looks like I have some stuff to clear up...

1. I have an ever changing schedule that allows me freedom at some points and not any at all during others.
Talapus wrote: ...scummarine for multiple pages. Yet you somehow find the time to find one of the multiple posts calling your inactivity out and quote it. Then you tell us in that same post you'll respond later after work. That post never came and discussions continue.

I really hope this is the only time I have to say this. I'm tired of you bringing up old stuff that I've tried to ammend, including #2.

Already put in a post about this. I have read every post in this multiple times over.

I responded to this to. I said that you seemed the most scummy to me at the time, so that;'s what I really zoned in on.

Talapus wrote:However your complete waste of a vote on me for making Doom rage quit is worse than a joke

That part of the vote was sarcasm. Sorry for not making that clear, I'll do better next time.

In my head, sticking up for Doom and using your arguments against you would make everyone turn their attention towards you. For some people, I have successfully managed to do that. I personally believe that Doom is harmless right now and that you are one of the factions or some other dangerous specialized role.

If I were mafia, I would know better than to draw this much attention to myself. To kinda lay low like Jonty, Skoff, Saf, and Shrew have. And I definitely wouldn't be sticking up for people like Doom, who have already had a target put on their back.

Talapus wrote:I think he may be scum and with what looks like you being an echo for him on many things makes me think you might be a scum buddy.

If Doom dies tonight and he is scum, I would fully expect you and everyone else to lynch me in the next day. I would do so myself if I were you. It would be a mistake, but I would completely understand. If he is town, then I would expect my name to be cleared (assuming he dies and that is proven).

Can we throw in some milk and cookies if I'm a good boy after my nap?

I'll try to look into this some....

Frenchie-chan (Dr. Phil) Night 3 - Killed
/ (Doc with 40 phDs)
Pancakemix (Doctor)
Aage (Doc with 41 phDs)
Skoffin (Dr. Mario)
Victor (Doctor Jester) - Night 2 - Nightkill
Naggy (Doctor with 39phDs) - Day 2 - Lynch
safari (Doctor with 0 phDs) - Day 1 -Lynch

In the end this scene was pathetic and the game was won. When they woke up on the floor were two dead bodies that of / (SK) and AOG (Doc with 40 pHDs).

Frenchie-chan (Mafia Bus Driver) and FloresDelMal (Mafia Godmother) have won the game for scum! Aage (Copier) has been endgamed.

2 Different mafias, and the first two I found with Docs with PhDs. One had a single doc, another had 4. Note that some of the docs were scum, implying we probably have a split between Nark and Shadow. One is for us, and the other scummy.

Note the mafia bus driver. This is one game in two I looked at by fircoal, and the other one might have had one too, I didn't read the whole thing and Fir didn't keep his OP updated. So it is very likely we have one here as well.

Soooo... While we are speaking of duo's causing trouble- How about Talapus as a mafia bus driver and Nark as a mafia doc? They seem to be going after DY for figuring this out!

And now.... Well, I guess I get a NK or something for finding this.

MM, you found a lead ;)

Hell yes, and to most of the post above this one comment I wasn't looking for a break down. I realize you addressed lots of those things before. I simply summarized my issues with you thus far. Thanks for responding though and for the detail it was more along the lines of what I look for. As for the joke vote, FYI they are frowned upon after day one. Though Doom was pissed at time I just read his posts so may have missed the sarcasm...sorry.
