Not entirely ;)

It doesn't apply here (because the tiebreaker is part of the regular flow of the war), but in the Semi's & Final where there's a separate tiebreaker series, the following applies:
Any players can play in the tie-breaker games in the semi finals and finals even if they have already played in their allotted number of games for that clan war, however, no player can play in more than 2 of the games.

I for one am totally opposed to this amicable settling of challenges. Not nearly enough drama as a result.

Yeah. This was KORT. They didn't just say "OK, one game penalty", they decided to push for a full 21 game forfeit. It meant our 32-28 victory didn't count, and they went on to contest Thota in the final (and win) in our place, then subsequently brag about how many CC tournaments they have won.

Cheapest tactic by any clan in the history of competition on this site. I shall never forgive or forget.

Let us look on the bright side and be thankful that we are playing the fourth incarnation of this tournament. By now such utterly brainless rules have been dealt with, and we have the chance to play in CC's greatest tournament with rules as fair as the combined wits of CC's finest can make them.

Cheapest tactic by any clan in the history of competition on this site. I shall never forgive or forget.

This is TOFU-DYN war so if someone is off-topic that is the one who mentioned KORT in war that has nothing to do with KORT.
My reply is not off-topic, since KORT is mentioned in post and I am member of KORT, I have right to say my counter-opinion as the comment is speaking negative about group that I am belonging to. I would never comment in thread of TOFU's war unless my name or name of my clan is tainted by comment from others. In that case I have legal right to reply to that comment.

At first, it is interesting to notice how TOFU members are bragging about themselves how they are ultra-fair group of people. It sounds to me like a person who just gave charity and then is going around and saying "Hello everybody, look at me, I gave charity today, I am so good person". I tell that because it was TOFU member (2 of them) who first announced information about their "ultra fair" decision. It was not TO nor DYN member who first announced the decision but it was TOFU members bragging about themselves, just like in my presented example about person who just gave charity.

At second, my opinion regarding the decision itself. It is very easy to make yourselves looking so classy and outstanding fair play clan when result is 25-9 and when win is practically secured. There is DYN who made mistake, and you were so "generous" (because result is 25-9 and win is secured) to agree for no sanctions. However, in TOFU- KORT war there was third side who made mistake (not KORT) because site glitch screwed Game 12351905 when JaneAustin could not play her turn in round 4 to the end, missing fort of 6 troops to cowboyz, who was then easy killed. TOFU was asked by KORT to repeat the game because in critical moment of the game our players could not play how they had planned, but TOFU refused to repeat the game claiming that they would anyway win that game. For everyone interested about that, truth of my statement can be easy checked in our thread starting from this post: viewtopic.php?f=442&t=183896&start=450#p4091798
That war ended 31-29 for TOFU, so if TOFU are real "top sports" clan like they are claiming here about themselves like the man who gave charity from my example, they had chance to prove it and agree with replay of that game in the war vs KORT.

Notice the big difference between two cases, here is DYN who is guilty for the issue, and there was KORT who was NOT guilty for the issue, issue happened because of mistake by site maintenance and there were not pre-announcement to warn players about that. So, KORT suffered loss for something which was not their mistake because of TOFU's decision to advance to finals on that way.

So, while CoF call "cheapest strategy ever" our win which was achieved by following clearly defined and prearranged rules and for which TOFU was entirely guilty (it was their mistake to play 21 games by CoF, not KORT's nor from third side), I would rather call with that name TOFU's decision to win over KORT for mistake which was not KORT's fault at all but was fault from the site. But at that time result of the war was 31-29 and not already decided 25-9, so TOFU's criterium for being "top sports" was different than it is now when the clan war is practically decided.

About our past decision to accept the ruling, we did it because throughout the whole war TOFU had presented extremely poor fair play towards us, so we thought after multiple bad doings we had received from them throughout the war, that they did not deserve that we accept ruling different that it was defined in rules. Who is interested about the case and about truth of my statement, he can check it here and make his own judgement about who is telling truth and who is telling lie: viewtopic.php?t=123426

Comparing 21 games penalty to a no fort, cool story bro! ;)
Oh and yes, that site maintenance was super pre-anounced. As far as i know, had you won that game if you forted (no need to discuss it as no one will ever know) you would still not have won the challenge.

The challenge would go to tie breaker, maybe we would won maybe not, we can never know.
It was actually not site maintenance, it was site problems with jumping from winter to summer time.
My point was not speculating what would or would not happen (nor you nor me can know that) if decision was different, my point was to say how "big sportsmen" were TOFU players when they had chance to be big sportsmen in really tough challenge. It is easy to be "big sportsman" when you are destroying your opponents by big margin so that one game will not even make any important difference to this war result and bragging on forums how you are "big sportsmen", which is in essence exactly the same doings like person from my example who just gave charity and then is going around bragging about it and pointing fingers in others who did not give charity that they are very bad persons.

Dynasty pointed out that we made a mistake by not adding a round limit to our trench games. We pointed out that pearljam was in 21 games and that we d rather call it a day. Sorry for making it public! :o

This is not true.
The first public announcement about the issue was made by DocBrown:
Doc_Brown wrote:Just wanted to offer a brief comment. It was noticed yesterday that Dynasty had inadvertently joined one player in 21 games. The Dynasty leaders acknowledged the mistake and offered to submit to whatever penalty was deemed appropriate by the TO. TOFU leaders requested that no penalties be issued and that all games stand as they currently are. The TO has acceded to this request in this instance.
Then followed CoF's comment:
Chariot of Fire wrote:Good call folks - that was resolved very amicably.

I made the oversight of joining one game too many once (an honest mistake, easily done it seems) but our opponents weren't too gracious about it and imposed a 21 game penalty which put them through into the cup final instead of us.

And who said chivalry's dead?

And then followed TO's and DYN's comment, after 2 comments from TOFU members bragging about themselves how they are amicably (CoF said), chivarly (CoF said), while DocBrown said that TOFU leaders were the ones who requested for no penalties to be issued. It could also be said (for example) that it was common agreement among TOFU, DYN and TO, or it could be said just that decision was made, and in that case I would not say that DocBrown was also bragging about his own clan, but since he explicitly said that it were TOFU leaders the ones who requested no penalties, that means both DocBrown's comment and CoF's comment is the same like example with the man who just gave charity and then was bragging around how he is so great man.

You know what? Josko, I'd ignore him. I think CoF's motivation in bringing up Kort was just to rile you up because he knows how much you will defend Kort's honour.

That said, most of TOFU that I know are really cool people, and I am sure outside of CC, CoF is not the asshole that he presents himself as here (I hope not at least). There's always one or two in every group that like to sling mud, twist facts and cause problems for others. Not cool guys!

Hum, it does indeed! What do we do in those cases?

Hey who was in that dynasty quad team i had a huge argument with because they changed the round limit rule 2 days before the game ended last christmas?

Just checked, you were not in! Capk, howitz, wpbrj and spino were in!

I think that it will likely end by round 30 though, unless we get terribly even dice. I personally don t know what we are supposed to do now cause we indeed made a mistake forgetting the round limit in the settings..

Sorry, I should have used the acronym CORT and not KORT - then you wouldn't be so offended and make nonsense accusations based on your very poor interpretation of what was said.

At first, it is interesting to notice how TOFU members are bragging about themselves how they are ultra-fair group of people. I think you need to look up the definition of 'bragging', because I don't see anybody having written "Look how great we are" or anything similar. I know you think we are great, so maybe that is why you are confused and cannot make the distinction between a message of goodwill and congratulations from one that says how wonderful we are. For a good example of bragging you could learn from this in Game 13140187

2013-09-05 20:16:51 - josko.ri: Yup, I am ready to drop it, however there are alpha strategists that come here telling me about who wins in unlimited games, lol. It is like I am telling to Usain Bolt how to run fast.

Comparing one's CC knowledge to Usain Bolt's ability....now THAT is bragging!

That war ended 31-29 for TOFU, so if TOFU are real "top sports" clan like they are claiming here about themselves like the man who gave charity from my example, they had chance to prove it and agree with replay of that game in the war vs KORT.

How strange, because in my opinion (and I'd wager countless others') the truly poor sport is the one who demands a game is remade when it is on the verge of being lost. Even you couldn't deny we had an 80/20 chance of winning that (in truth it was even higher). Pirlo's missed turn was the damning event, not the later site glitch. You however will do all you can to deny ever losing due to the strength or ability of others.

And that is why you voted to impose a 21 game forfeit for one mistaken game.

Thank you for your recent (off-topic) remarks which help substantiate the kind of person you truly are.

CoF

p.s. Your post reported for baiting/trolling. Get out of our threads you stalking fruitcake.
