A Risktaker's Race: The WC4J Board Game (Winner Osman76)

Postby Silly Knig-it on Sat Apr 20, 2013 2:09 am

The rules, game play format, etc are under the Old Thread. I see no need to copy them over here. Follow the link below to access them.

Old Thread: viewtopic.php?t=183975

Roll results are in second post. Please double check me and double check all of this as I transfer it. The sooner I can catch a mistake the easier for us all. Board positions in 3rd post.

The leader is where the Six is and the trailer where the One is. 2/11/14 Roll 15

This spreadsheet displays what you rolled (i.e. how many wins per turn) and sums them to give your position on the board. The second sheet corresponds to the maps associated with your position.

show: Roll results per turn

ALL games, regardless of map, will have these settings:

Standard Game Type
Automatic Initial Troops
Sequential Play Order
Nuclear Spoils
Chained Reinforcements

Special Gameplay
Fog of War ("Foggy", "Yes")
No Trench Warfare

There will be NO such rule that requires players to wait before taking their turns in Fog of War games.

20 Rounds Round Limit
24 Hour Round Length

Roll 3 tabulated (2 games still in progress)

Please check the spreadsheet for errors.

I feel I have a handle on this tournament now, so hopefully things run smoothly.

I will be on vacation until Sunday, 16th of June. I will be able to monitor things and hopefully fix minor problems. I will be working from an iPad, which while a wonderful device is not something I want to issue tournament games, etc on. I also have no access to BOB while on it, so updating stats may or may not happen. You can still pm me and I will get back to you, just maybe not immediately.

Judging by Roll 3, I hope the games will be completed and Roll 5 can be issued.

A belated +1 to that

Also, are you still looking to award the "Diablo Feat" medal (subject to approval) for this tournament (player with the most number of 6s rolled, minimum of 3)?

I assume the Diablo is still in effect since no one told me differently when I took over.

Another minor question - looking at the spreadsheet there were 4 players eliminated after roll 3 (and 2 after roll 2) having won games in those rounds - did their invites time out or is there some other rule I should be careful of to avoid getting kicked out?

Roll 2 was before I took over. If I accidentally eliminated someone, that is what it was an accident. I need people to double check me. Picking up a tournament in the middle can be complicated. I had someone catch me today. I fixed it.

Please, please double check me. I fix things as fast as I know about them. But RL has been busy an if a screwup slipped through, I apologise.

Please everyone if you spot an error tell me!,

The Roll 4 results are being posted to the player positions.

Those who have not completed their Roll 4 are not listed. They will be added as they complete their 6 games.

We are getting close to issuing Roll 5 games. It is now or never to catch any mistakes I may have made. If you just want me to double check something that is okay. I don't mind. I would rather get things right.

Re: A Risktaker's Race: The WC4J Board Game (Roll 8 Issued))

Postby Dukasaur on Tue Sep 03, 2013 2:03 am

So, of my six games in this round, I went 2nd in four of them. My opponents dropped a bonus in three of the six. In one of them, Game 13168883, my opponent actually dropped multiple bonuses and deployed 21 troops on his first turn!

There was one game where I actually dropped a bonus and thought I might have a chance, but I rolled 8 consecutive 1s to even out the advantage.

Five out of six are lost for sure. There is one where I might still have a chance, but it's not looking good.

Just thought I'd get that off my chest.
