We, here in the SoC, have Standard/Term and Team training, but how about some 1v1 action? We started the SoC 1v1 Ladder several months ago in the Grads Lounge and are ready to unleash it for everyone in the SoC. You won't have any teachers to help give advice...you compete on your own skill. Believe me, you will get better the more you play. I know I personally need more 1v1 practice. If you're interested, sign up below.
The Ladder is currently active, so any new players will be placed at the bottom...you'll have to fight your way up.
It's very simple. You challenge someone (or can be challenged by someone). All matches are best 2 out of 3. Each player creates their own "home" map, with the Challenger creating a random map with specific settings. The winner moves up...the loser stays where they are at.
We are also giving out medals for consecutive win streak and defending the #1 position! Medals will work like this and the names are subject to change:
All SoC Grads and Teachers are exempt from the prerequisites.

If ya wanna practice while waiting for an opening, I'm game to take you on. Won't count but will get you in some practice for when a spot opens for ya.
And since mac just won't let me win 2, (No apple for the teacher til I beat you!), not to mention the no re-challenging rule, my first challenge on the new ladder goes to t4mcr53s2. Game 13099426 and Game 13099427 are my games. Walled.
For those of you new to the Ladder, even though T4mcr53s2 was #6 when the match finished, the challenge was made when he was #3. That's why you see the column marked, "Previous Ladder Rank". That way I know where the challenger was at the start of the match.
If MGSteve wins his match against T4, then MG will only be able to move up to #6.

thanks chuck and mac for your hard work .. happy to say i just defeated asbks 2-1 after a 25 round KCII marathon very hard fort... I'd dropped to # during the battle , which if i really slid up to # 1 means that MG Steve's challenge which I'll start tonight or in AM pits temporary # 9 vs temporary #1 .. how cool is that.... PS Chapcrap patent infringed the ladder for the Fallen clan and its been very popular... though i'm finding it very hard sledding... those guys are kicking me on my home maps
Especially the third was a hard one, and I'm happy it was not a trenched game, because there then would be no way we could ever have finished it, since all troops were killed in nomansland
So even though I won it, I'm not eager to try that map again.

Crap, sorry, guys. I had intended to issue a challenge of my own, but I held off because I'm going to be out of town the second half of next week. And of course I accepted duk's invites already.
