How does disallowing homosexual marriage tie into Freedom, Liberty and Independence?Phatscotty wrote:The real Tea Party headquarters is in the hearts and minds of every American. Regardless of all the BS, deep down we all value Freedom, Liberty, and Independence
What the hell is "negative Liberty"?Phatscotty wrote:but I think we have forgotten a bit about the warning signs and the dangers of tyranny, negative Liberty, and dependence.
So he posts a vid of Ted Cruz a Cuban who was born in Canada,Nice to get lectured about liberty in the U.S. from a Canadian,A Canadian I might add who thinks he is going to run for president.Phatscotty wrote:The real Tea Party headquarters is in the hearts and minds of every American. Ron Paul was right, and the Tea Party is right.
He is an American. Don't get all birther on us. Most of us will hopefully focus on the message and not the birthplace of the messenger.ooge wrote:So he posts a vid of Ted Cruz a Cuban who was born in Canada,Nice to get lectured about liberty in the U.S. from a Canadian,A Canadian I might add who thinks he is going to run for president.Phatscotty wrote:The real Tea Party headquarters is in the hearts and minds of every American. Nope. I have always held that was an issue for before the election, and that it was a waste of time talking about it after the election of 2008. I had a problem with the way Obama was playing games with the issue and taunting his opponents with it, but that isn't the same thing as saying he was born in Kenya.maxfaraday wrote:You're really funny sometimes scotty.Phatscotty wrote:He is an American. Wasn't it you who bitched about Obama's birth declaration?

So the ACTUAL answer to his question is a confirmed "yes".Phatscotty wrote:Nope. That's actually...fantastic! Given the context and all.tzor wrote:Mind you, the original office in Canary Warf was another story ... they had hot water spigots just for making tea on the spot.

that sounds like a highly subjective interpretation of their views (lol at Dave's eternal memory), but I don't know them. ..."their own personal pile of money", you make that sound bad, like they didn't work for it, while the truth is all too often far too many break their back and their hands for it, and still can't afford to buy a car, but the government always ends up with about 50% of everyone's money, and going up.Funkyterrance wrote:Basically the reason I'm posting is that I want pimpdave's memory to live on eternal but I thought my two cents on the subject of tea-partiers would be appropriate. I know a few. My impression from them is they support the movement because they will support anything that has the potentiality of ensuring the safety of their own personal pile of money, it doesn't get much deeper than that. I can't speak for the lot of tea-partiers of course but those people that I know could give a shit about the personal freedoms and rights of anyone but themselves.
