With the IPL 2013 finishing soon, i'd like to run a tournament in the same format.
Games will be 2v2 doubles with fixed settings automatic, sequential, 20 round limit. Home map and remaining settings to be chosen by team on signup. There will be 9 teams (18 players).
You may pick an available franchise on signup. I will aim to have each team in no more than 2 games at a time, so freemiums are welcome if they reserve 2 spots for the tournament.

14 games into the tournament both the Rajasthan Royals and the Sunrisers have won 3 out of 3 games, with the royals holding top spot due to a better round rate. The Kings XI are also undefeated, with only 2 games completed. At the other end, Delhi are the only team yet to register a point after opening with 4 straight defeats. They'll have to find some form quickly if they're to have a chance at making the playoffs.
The King's XI are the stand out performers having won all 9 of their games thus far, including 6 away from home. Ensuring their playoff spot should now be a formality. CSK are tied with SH in 2nd place with equal points and round rate.
The KXI remain undefeated and are now guaranteed a spot in the top two. It is now mathematically impossible for KKR, RCB, PW and DD to make the playoffs, leaving 4 teams to fight for the 3 remaining playoff positions. Within these it is still possible for any of them to miss out - and all are mathematically able to finish in the top two. My prediction: CSK to finish 2nd, and RR to narrowly miss out on the playoffs.
