there's a button in the menu on the left of your screen that says 'Conquer Cup'.... lots of information there.

Why is there one player that is still waiting to advance from round 1? Did they start the Cup without the proper number of players?

To my knowledge, about halfway around round 1, somebody's game got corrupted and it's messed things up. If it doesn't fix itself, I'll do my best to fix it manually.

nope. your format was just not valid.525 players, round 1 with 5 player games round 2 with 4 player games, had to be 524 players round 2. that guy will probably have to suck it up... also this is going to be all messed up with 524; divided by 4 is 131 ect ect...
you're going to face some massive problems for starting the tournament with 525 players.. you need to create games for losers to make them back in the tournament.

well, given that all round 1 players advance to a 4 player game (round 2 or round 3), 524 is the multiple and 525 leaves 1 behind!
but yeah half of what I said in my previous post is false, forgot about the round 2/3 thing.

I play in a lot of pool tournaments and run a few myself. I have seen problems like this before, not in any of the tournaments run by me because I know how to count.

My suggestion is to randomly select four players that made it to the semi finals (round five) but then lost.

Put two of them in a four man game with the waiters in rounds one and two.

The winner from that game advances to round four and joins that single waiter and the other two randomly selected semifinalists to play a four man game. The winner to advance to the finals.

In this manner you can make everyone play almost the same number of games, and the ones that don't, have to play better players, as they where semifinalists.

Perfect solution... no.
Fair solution... as fair as your going to get.

PS: As I am a semifinalist, I suggest you disqualify me. I have only one motive here. To find a fair solution.

There are 3 ppl waiting at the final who played all of the way through, but it seems the last group who played were at round 4 (and the winner, which happens to be Smegal69 would therefore skip to round 6 to make the final fourth person in the finale. There is apparently one person in round 1 & another in round 2 waiting for a game too lol, but that seems a glitch. I think poor Smegal69 will be waiting for his round 5 game for a while unless they let him skip to round 6 to make the 4th player in the final. I think we should just give Emmdizzle the ipad? (jokes, im his gf) .. gl to all the finalist

Yes sorry you re right (thought he was a loser waiting for round 2). So that's 2 guys worth a round 3 game and 1 guy worth round 5 (they won 1 he won 3). So basically just make 4-5 games they need 3 wins to pass he just needs one.

How about a random amount of losers from each round where there is still a player waiting get to play in one more game? ie. pick 4 from round 1, winner advances to round 3 with the waiting player from round 2, then you pick 2 more losers from round 3 to play with them. Right up until you get to the finals?

Hey, CC5 players! After some Discussion to find a solution that is at least mostly fair and time effective (the next Cup is very soon!), this is what the team was able to come up with. Right now, this is the following:


Round 5 (Waiting to Advance):

Round 4 (Waiting to Advance):
smegal69

It just so happens that that is 4 players! . I will be making a manual game with you 4 players and the player that wins will be the winner. However, since smegal69 is a Round behind, he must win 2 consecutive games to compensate for the round that everyone else had played and won.

Everyone else in previous rounds would take a long time to backtrack and fix, so players waiting to advance will be receiving a free entry into the next cup and a month of premium. Expect your invites soon, and good luck! Best,

i suggest that gilligan and the other guy get automatically qualified for round 3 on the CC6 because they've been screwed big time. so that means that if the format remains the same, there should be 632 participants instead of 640. I wouldn't be very happy if i were them!
