It seems to me like the 3 paths will just add confusion.. when i look at someone's rank i want to be able to instantly know what i means, not have to pull up a chart and see which path they are on and convert it. I voted new rank but not 3 path.

We all had a blue color to our names when the text was changed for April fools day.

Why do regular posters still have a blue tint to their names? Its awefully close to CD colors...

This was part of an update and it is the default color. It is supposed to be changed back to normal. Pretend you don't see it for a little bit.

Hmm, the usual colour is sort of an army green or khaki, the blue perhaps was a more naval colour? Maybe it should be used for special occasions.

It wouldn't really be feasible because the colors are based on a users default group. I guess if multiple groups were created for people to choose from, it could work that way, but more would have to change.

However, as stated by the last few posters, there will be a lot of confusion if there are multiple rankings systems. It's probably best to stick with one.

I think part of the problem with the old symbols is the lower ranking stuff is boring and they all look similar. Most people who check out suggestions are higher ranked and have the cooler insignias so they aren't really concerned maybe?

Yep, they dont care abouth new player at all, just look hes own benefit . Its will be hard to make any positive changes for all players, when small group try to put all possible obstacle for positive changes for any future players.

Would it be possible that the change is part of each members profile, so if I pick cool looking ranks that's what I see on everyone, but if you can't handle change, you can choose to continue to see the current symbols, with a few extra ranks added?

This would probably work. Or you could have the current setup be an option that you could select and any new players would have the new insignias since the new ones arguably won't confuse any new players and they seem to me to be more encouraging for lower ranks.

But when you give one option 4 chances to get a vote, you ruin the poll.

While it is true that every option waters down the pool for success, this poll still shows accuracy in that less than 50% are in favor of changing the ranks. I just don't think there is much community support for this idea, or any of its variations.

When someone says I do not give a s**t about new players, I take that offensively. So yes, I await your apology qwert. But if I did offend qwert, I apologise to him but advise he gets thicker skin.

Agreed, a great topic that has now run its course. As for support, it has been pointed out that a 4 to 1 poll is bad. Very bad, but still the no change is in the lead. That alone should be enough to convince 99% of people to leave this alone.
