Lets sort these last two out then:

189 = (5! / ⌊√5⌋ + 5 - ⌊√5⌋) x ⌈√5⌉
189 = (120 / 2 + 5 - 2) x 3
189 = (60 + 3) x 3
189 = 63 x 3
189 = 189

190 = 5! x (⌈√5⌉ / ⌊√5⌋) + 5 + 5
190 = 120 x (3 / 2) + 10
190 = 120 x 1.5 + 10
190 = 180 + 10
190 = 190

Am I the only one left playing?

191 = Γ5 x (5 + ⌈√5⌉) - ( ⌈√5⌉ - ⌊√5⌋ )
191 = 24 x (5+3) - (3-2)
191 = 24 x 8 - 1
191 = 192 - 1
191 = 191

Sorry! I can do 192.

192 = 5! + Γ5 + Γ5 + Γ(√5*√5)
192 = 120 + 24 + 24 + Γ5
192 = 168 + 24
192 = 192

193 = Γ5 x (5 + ⌈√5⌉) + ( ⌈√5⌉ - ⌊√5⌋ )
193 = 24 x (5+3) + (3-2)
193 = 24 x 8 + 1
193 = 192 + 1

201 = (55 + 5 + 5 + ⌊√5⌋) x ⌈√5⌉
201 = (65 + 2) x 3
201 = 67 x 3
201 = 201

Run stays easy for a bit but in 10-15 posts or so we have some tricky prime numbers coming

You used 6 5s for 201.

I hope I can keep up with the prime numbers. I remember being impressed with what you came up with for 157! Maybe someone else will join back in at some point and help us out. ;)

Damn so I did

OK

201 = (55 + 5!! - ⌈√5⌉) x ⌈√5⌉
201 = (55 + 15 - 3) x 3
201 = 67 x 3
201 = 201

Over to you (next prime is 211 - just checked - and edited out my silly mistake)

202 = 120 + 75 + 5 + 2
202 = 202

Going to be taking off for the weekend. Don't know if I'll have internet access so I may not be on again 'til Monday.

Btw, what ALT Codes are you using for the floor and ceiling functions? I found the left ceiling is ALT 244 and the right floor is ALT 245, but I don't know what the other 2 are. I just copied and pasted from a previous post but I'd like to know. :)

I just copy paste.

This one stumped me for a while

203 = (Γ5 + 5) x (⌈√5⌉ + ⌊√5⌋ + ⌊√5⌋)
203 = (24 + 5) x (3 + 2 + 2)
203 = 29 x 7
203 = 203

Have a fun weekend - this game will still be here on Monday :)

Someone brought a hotspot!

here is a kind of "cheat sheet" for this game... it will reduce the intellectual challenge, so don't read it if you enjoy that:

show

206 = 206
206 = 103*2
206 = (100+3)*2
206 = (5*5*4+3)*2
206 = (5*5*⌈√5!!⌉+⌈√5⌉)*⌊√5⌋

Yeah it's actually fairly easy to get this until we get to either primes or ridiculoulsy high numbers.

A couple of others that I haven't seen used yet:

5# = 30 (n# is the product of all prime numbers up to and including n)
5$ = 34560 (n$ is the superfactorial, so it's 1! x 2! x 3! x .... x n!) - this one is not so useful on 5, but ⌈√5!!⌉$ (4$) = 288, and ⌈√5⌉$ (3$) = 12

A really boring version but also a bigger challenge would be to see how high we can go only using one 5, so for instance here is the five 5s way for the next one:

207 = (Γ5 + Γ5 + Γ5 - ⌈√5⌉) x ⌈√5⌉
207 = (24 + 24 + 24 - 3) x 3
207 = 69 x 3
207 = 207

But, we could also do:

207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√⌈√√√√√⌈√√√⌈√√⌈√√⌈√√√⌊√5!⌋!⌉!⌉!⌉!!⌉!⌉!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√⌈√√√√√⌈√√√⌈√√⌈√√⌈√√√10!⌉!⌉!⌉!!⌉!⌉!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√⌈√√√√√⌈√√√⌈√√⌈√√7!⌉!⌉!!⌉!⌉!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√⌈√√√√√⌈√√√⌈√√9!⌉!!⌉!⌉!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√⌈√√√√√⌈√√√25!!⌉!⌉!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√⌈√√√√√41!⌉!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√⌊√√√√36!!⌋!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√⌈√√√21!⌉!!⌋
207 = ⌊√√√√√√√291!!⌋
207 = 207

(and yes, I did have to use a spreadsheet to get there with a huge table of multiple roots to bounce around)

I'll use one of the new ones for fun

209 = 5# x (5 + ⌊√5⌋) - (5/5)
209 = 30 x (5 + 2) - 1
209 = 30 x 7 - 1
209 = 210 - 1
209 = 209
