Re: Restraining order
If you can voluntarily leave those institutions, a restraining order is not necessary.bedub1 wrote:Does anybody know anything about filing restraining orders? Since corporations are now people, can I file one against twitter, facebook and google? They are constantly stalking me, following me everywhere and harassing me. They won't leave me alone. Even when I'm someplace else, they are still stalking me. It's getting out of hand. I really want it to stop.

So does the government. They keep a tack of you since the day you are born. Want to file a restraining order against the Feds?

I am quite sure you can find an attorney willing to take your money to fight the case. Winning.. that is another matter entirely.bedub1 wrote:Does anybody know anything about filing restraining orders? Re: Restraining order
Can we add AT&T and Bell to the list? their fucking 3g and other mobile network constantly bombards me and my devices without recourse.
Bell actually hijacks your map applications and charges you to access them.
Bell and Eastlink joined forces recently to encourage us to protect our privacy, ie ensure that we all use only our own networks although my computer receives wifi from 20 + networks as well as their mobile service.

That horse has long left the gate, I am afraid. Preventing them from stalking us will inhibit their right to free access and the ability to run their free market enterprises.bedub1 wrote:Let's do it class action, and use it to try to change the way these corporations operate and their ability to stalk us constantly.PLAYER57832 wrote:I am quite sure you can find an attorney willing to take your money to fight the case. Remeber.. freedom today is only about other people's ability to make money, not our personal ability to live as we like.

First...get a lawyer.bedub1 wrote:Does anybody know anything about filing restraining orders? Since corporations are now people, can I file one against twitter, facebook and google? Second...go to courthouse.
Third...set court date with judge to determine legitimacy.
If judge determines in favor of your case, then Google (an such entities) must stay at least 100 yards away from your person. But what that would contend, I don't know. Since Google and facebook are virtual entities (and not physical) may pose a problem. One could file the lawsuit against every employee of such companies to not physically come within that distance and disturb you on the internet. More than likely the judge would rule in favor of such entities as you would have to prove to the court how it is that they are harassing you?
I went to court for a restraining order...twice! Once I filed a complaint at the courthouse against an individual that threatened to kill me at work. I won that case. However, his cunt little wife filed one against me and lied and said I was following her home after work (we lived in the same neighborhood!) I got a lawyer and caught her lying on the stand. The judge noted the lie and threw the case out. However, if I ever see her around; I just treat it as if there was a restraining order. I don't want anything to do with that bitch!

Your being recorded in a public, open space is not assault.bedub1 wrote:In my example nobody was talking.BigBallinStalin wrote:So...bedub1 wrote:Take it a step further to Google Glass:

If you assault somebody with your property, and your property is damaged, too bad. Your property rights don't supersede my rights to avoid being assaulted. IE You can't smack me with your baseball bat and then sue me when your bat breaks.
I am only defending myself against assault.
I'll answer my own question about your position: you sound like a fascist.

I explained what you resemble and clearly defended it--that's called "attacking your words." You sounded like a fascist.bedub1 wrote:BBS, can you try attacking my words and beliefs instead of calling me names?PLAYER57832 wrote:yes, because, of course, only someone with something to hide would worry about being watched, right BBS?BigBallinStalin wrote:Your being recorded in a public, open space is not assault.bedub1 wrote:In my example nobody was talking.BigBallinStalin wrote:So...bedub1 wrote:Take it a step further to Google Glass:

Being recorded in public is still not assault.
It's a problem of common property--nobody owns the rights to it, except the government which does a piss-poor job of enforcing rights and what not. You're talking about implied consent, but you have very little to no jurisdiction in public space.
