No, it's the little "Moderator" under the name! It looks so cool! And your name is bolded green in the "Who's online" thing! It's SO awesome!wicked wrote:People want the power, yes. They wanna be able to move threads...oooh... how exciting.

I know that. I've never seen you guys online… EVER! Besides, it was more of a joke anyway…AK_iceman wrote:The green bolded name is NOT awesome! Most of the moderators hide their online status now because when people see our names down there, they feel compelled to send us PM's about any problem they have.

Here's my .02.
I am a multi-hunter, NOT a mod and I get all kinds of PMs just because my name is bolded at the bottom. If that is considered "cool", then I think it needs to be redefined. If mod-status is attained by just posting, then Reverend_Kyle would be the frontrunner and let's not forget that answering a "yes" or "uh huh" to the high end of 20% of hector's posts also does not constitute a mod recommendation.

No it wouldn't… It would be like making a criminal a police officer.Jafnhár wrote:Making hecter a moderator would be like hiring Dracula as the manager of UK national blood bank.

Just thought I'd chime in...
At the moment, we aren't looking to add any more mods. I think we've got quite a handle on forum and the website. We have lots of things going on behind the scenes that are improving the quality of the site. Plus, I don't really want to look after another high-maintenance creature in the Zoo!
As Wicked and AK pointed out, the general community can also help improve the website and forum by contributing and helping out where ever they can, without an official capacity. So far, I think that is doing beyond well. Maybe sometime we will notice someone who could help us out, but this style of post surely isn't the way for that to come about!
Have fun, play games, slaughter your opponents, and help improve the website and forum. Live by those things.

joeyjordison wrote:ok some of you may not like this but i've seen hecter is regularly posting help in questions in the general discussion forum and regularly responds before the mods when saying that a suggestion has been made or that someone would or wouldn't work.
I've noticed many Noobs do that ^^^^^
Frankly its annoying, especially when the answer they give is incorrect.
Let the Mods do what they are here to do, not the noobs.. Hecter is still New to this site, and a obvious Mod wannabe.
I have been on this site for over a year now. I have helped lots of new people (I do not call them noobs-that is derogatory). I believe if they want or need another mod they will find one that works well with them.
They of course are doing a great job!!!
I would not want the job, but we can all help them by moderating ourselves first.
