Platinum and/or Diamond Medals

Right now bronze = 20, silver = 100, gold = 400. Silver = 5x bronze, gold = 4x silver. Follow the pattern and you get platinum = 3x gold, or 1200 wins.

Alright, I never noticed this before. I want to QFT, just in case anyone wants a Diamond medal to come out, which in case would be 2x, or 2400 wins, correct/

Then Platinum would have been 2,500
Diamond would be 12,500

Diamond should be something very hard (to achieve)

I have just finished all 22 pages so now for my thoughts

20 is needed for Bronze
100 is needed for Silver
400 is needed for Gold

So 5 Bronze = Silver, 4 Silver = Gold. Therefore 3 Gold = Platinum (1200) and 2 Platinum = Diamond (2400)

I would not bring in Diamond at this stage as it allows for levels to be added in between (Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire) Red/Green/Blue medals would be easy to see but i do not see how you could add them with the current formula for higher medals.

In short, Gold kicks in to early. I'd like to see a rerating of Gold so each medal is 5 times the achievement of the previous one.

I like the 1200/2400 model better..... I think that that would already be hard enough to achieve.
trying to win 12,500 nuclear spoils games does not sound fun.

Yeah, as of now there's only 1 guy who qualifies for Diamond... and only 14 for ruby

instead of new medals, can't we just ramp up the requirements from the current levels?

instead of 25, 100, 400
have 50, 200, 800

unique maps instead of 20,40, 60
have 30, 60, 100

i would also change the tournament medals and make them reflect the amount of games created / players involved.

Magnesium:- for losing x number of games from killing someone else's target in assassin games

I would much rather see brand new medals rather than increased levels for medals. so that's what my votes reflect. it would be great also to have a platinum/titanium (not diamond!!) medal or something for the CC rock stars who've achieved so much more than the gold medal folks.

My two cents:

1. Plainum Medal as a medal "being awarded for having the most/best qualifications for a medal amongst the entire site,
e.g someone might have won the most terminater games so they get a terminater platinum medal for having the most".

Comment: Seems like this one would move around. Dunno. If you get a medal you get it.

2. Better to insert a 4th medal level, then platinum for an excessive amount of wins. E.g. 5,000 vis-a-vis the current gold level. That would make the platinum level pretty hard to get and thus kill this debate and medal inflation issue for a while.

3. The suggested win-% medal. Dunno. Seems like it's bad news for players who do 8-player games a lot and instead rewards "noob farmers". Don't think it's a very good medal.

I have a suggestion on awarding Medals. As you know we now have Bronze, Silver and Gold awards...These are for 20, 100, and 500 unique wins in each category.

My suggestion is very simple. Let's add a platinum level at 1,000 unique wins.

This will encourage continued participation in Ratings, Terminator, Assasin, Doubles, Triples, Quad Games, etc. This should not be too hard to accomplish, and I for one would love to accomplish Platinum level medals.

We could even add yet another level, say "diamond" at 2,000 unique wins.

What does everyone else think? Please add comments and get behind this idea. I think it would add a level of fun for everyone....OleCowboyHippy...

Platinum Medal - what limit would this be set at?

Looks like it's for the player who won the most games in each gametype. Only 1 winner for each setting.
This could be all right, but I'm going to hold off for now. If the player gets surpassed in wins, they don't lose the medal, do they? But the player who passes them gets a medal? And what if the original player gains the lead again? I just have too many questions here to vote Yes for it.

Also on the score medal i would be fine if it were for 1800-6000 if it changed the design of the medal but it was only 1 medal. I dont like the insane inflation of medals that has happened recently and 10 medals for score seems a bit much.

since we already have:
bronze 20
silver 100
gold 400

I was thinking platinum 500 and diamond 1000 for everyone who obtains them. Wherever CC issues the bronze, silver and gold medals, they add platinum and diamond.

In this thread, it seems like they both have got the most votes as well.

I suspect this has been brought up before so I might be repeating what someone already has suggested but I thought I'd throw it out here!

Edit: I know we shouldn't put 2 suggestions into one thread but I came to think about this; Everyone who's been conqueror should be awarded a special medal! That way it's much easier to reqognize a former conqueror and it gives them a little bit extra pride even when they aren't conquerors anymore !
