AMC: The Walking Dead (Season 3:SPOILER ALERTS!))

Just started tonight. Carl is blowing off zombie heads now, and hopefully not such a little asswipe like he was last season. I am sure Shane will show himself in a dream sequence...but I really can't wait for Merle Dixon to show back up (even though he was a racist bastard).

Daryl Dixon will probably be my favorite character this season, along with Andrea (she is so hot for a old mama!)

As for any new characters, I haven't seen any yet. The Governor will make an appearance and Michonne already appeared at the end of Season 2 when she saved Andrea's ass.

Anyway, hope this season is a great one!

NOTE: Wow! I can't believe I actually wrote that Andrea was one of my favorite characters. She has completely disgusted me this season and I have totally turned against her. Her character has went from being strong, independent to just being an annoying actress trying to stretch the character beyond what it should have been.

Daryl still gets my support as my fave this season yet...thank god Lori is dead! WOOHOO!

It was a good episode but there are so many questions I have as per what the f*ck happened between season 2 and this episode (mainly: where did they get military grade weapons? when did Carl and all the others become freaking sharpshooters? which episode will contain a zombie baby ripping its way out of Lori's stomach? etc.).

What is with Karl putting the moves on Beth ... but then when they leave the cell block Rick basically tells Karl he needs to stay behind to inseminate the women and restart civilization in case all the men are killed? I thought that was a heartwarming parental moment.

I think the andrea character is doing well. The Michonne character is starting to suck.


This actress isn't given enough speaking time, which is making the Michonne character suffer. If Michonne is to be a prevalent character this season, then they needed to choose an actress that could bring her alive. Right now, she just seems flawed.




I think AMC went with the "look". The actress definitely has an intense look that Michonne needs, however...how about some acting skills? Geesh!

I agree with squishy. I think Michonne has time to develop, but I agree with whoever said she doesn't have enough lines or screen time to grow. That's the problem thus far, but now that

How can anyone say they like Andrea? Actually, it isn't that I have a problem with Andrea the character (although she's like way too loose for being a survivor in a zombie apocalypse, I mean, I know I'd have the urge to f*ck any living human of the opposite sex, but one was obviously crazy, and the other is obviously untrustworthy and manipulative... didn't you survive all this time by being careful?), it's that the actress who plays her is HORRIBLE! While watching last night's episode, she must have gone through 5-10 different accents, from southern drawl, to bad southern drawl, to worse southern drawl, to a non-region specific american accent, etc etc. And the scenes with her and the governor, aside from bad accents, were just cringeworthy, not only for the fact that they are completely unoriginal and you can see every line coming from a mile away, but also because they just completely take me out of that world. Basically as soon as she opened her mouth the illusion of living in some run down place in a zombie apocalypse disappears, and I'm just thinking, wow, "I'm about to watch a stupid whore flirt, which will lead to implied intercourse via the post-coital bed scene".

Ultimately, I think that aside from the really slow episodes in season 2, yesterday's episode was the worst one yet. Mostly because Andrea really wore on me, but also because

why is it that all of a sudden Daryl seems to have feelings? I'm talking about the whole baby talk thing when they're all back in C block and playing with Sophia/Amy/Little Ass Kicker, followed up by an out-of-nowhere heart-to-heart with Carl. It just seems out of character

. But then again, I will say that the last 10-15 minutes really made up for the shit of the episode. For one

I'm really glad that Rick was able to work through his feelings after losing Lori. I think that it was cool the way they made him go crazy for a little bit, but I like it when he's making moves and fucking shit up, but not in a way that puts Glenn or the others in danger. It was especially nice to see them close that up, because after putting up with all 6 seasons of LOST, I thought the phone was actually going to play an integral part of the rest of the season. And that would have just completely ruined the series for me

Well they really took me for a sucker when the back up generator kicked in all of a sudden. You'd think that it would have kicked in when the lights went out and it would be out of gas by now? But apparently it just laid dormant for almost a year and now suddenly it works just fine. LOL.

Try that with your car engine for almost a year and see what happens? The battery will die.

What were those surviving inmates doing in the dark all that time anyways?
