The accused are suspected of:
Ratings abuse

No reason for me to have anything other than good ratings as of the date of october 30th when he left me ratings. Look at his history of ratings left, and in comparison mine are 5-star. On this particular date where I received all 3's, so did other of his former clan mates.

Please look at his ratings left page---its ridiculous !!

pretty easy, go to his page. Hit ratings, then the tab ratings left. ALL are average at best for two pages except for his "new" clan mates

If it is not just you that you mean, then please be clearer in your accusations. You said that he left you a poor rating, and then said:

In the game in question (or any of the four games you have with him), he has left ratings only for you, Steve The Mighty, and dominator2000. Both of them were on his team, and he rated them highly. You are the only player on your team that he rated at all, and he rated you as average in all three categories. I don't see where a violation exists in this game, although a mod might disagree, I suppose.

Instead of just saying "look at his ratings", perhaps go into his ratings and be very specific about in which games he left inappropriate ratings, and for which player(s). I'm not a mod, so I can't help you or hinder you, but if you have provided the information that mods are looking for, rather than asking them to look it up for you, you are more likely to get a result you desire (unless of course your desire is to have the "Average" ratings taken off your page, since that cannot be done).

So after looking yeah he is most likely guilty of ratings abuse but like sir implied, you have to somehow prove it was actual abuse. This requires a lot more legwork. I know because when I first started on here I built a case on someone but it wasn't easy. At first I just said "look at his ratings left page!" which consisted of tons of one star ratings but I ended up having to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was being vindictive with pages of examples from gamechat, etc.. It can be done though, I'm the case in point.

this is going to be a tough challenge. I tried to ask him about it and his thing is that if you get a "3 star" then you are an average player. That is true that "3 stars" is average, however, after trying to reason with the guy, he didnt want to hear why I felt differently.

The next time I played him, I rated him 2's across the board. I figure by his reasoning, if he thinks I am a 3-star player, then he has to be a 2-star player because I am better than him. So also by his reasoning, that makes him a little less than average. I mean, look at his winning percentage too. That's not even close to average.

wow this place has really gone soft since last time I cared about C&A stuff....I would usually agree with what sirgermaine & Funkyterrance said about showing examples and intent....kind of like a C&A case on ratings abuse I done myself.....Ratings Abuse - Dibbun [warned]

took a few hours to put that together but I wanted to make sure I got the right result and give the mods less work to do....

I remember when they would just close a report like this....if the OP could not be bothered to show at least 5 examples of abuse and just said "look at his ratings"......but Im sure u will get the verdict u want as it seems like the mods here now have to much free time and like all the extra work....seen as they gave warnings for both these cases recently...

He basically gives out 1 star to anyone that calls him out on secret diplomacy, or cheap tactic. Oh yes don't say F-word either! What a tool. Still up to his old tricks. 255 games to date with this multi and still nothing done about it BTW!

as for the rating abuse here's some examples:

Ulm 2 star for being silent?
General Scoles 2 star for being silent?
Tenebrus 1 star Sore loser & quitter, doesn't miss a turn or say anything
enrique1g 1 star deadbeat & quitter doesn't miss a turn
Aba 1 star sore loser & quitter, doesn't miss a turn or say anything.

Just looking at his page does not really prove anything. He might only rate the poor players he comes across. Afro's report is better.

I rate based on the descriptions of the ratings. 5 stars means excellent. 3 stars is average. Why is average considered bad?

ULM - a 2 star rating for attiude was below average. I wished him good luck and then said have a great day. He gave no reply in Game 11897682

General Scoles - Same as ULM - Game 11897520

Tenebrus - Missed two straight turns in a game when he was losing. When I called him on it, he took another turn. Game 11769069

Enrique1g - He missed 5 turns in Game 11397112

Aba - Was losing in Game 11307462 and quit taking turns

No, the problem is that the ratings have developed into something other that what the rules state. Someone with a 3 star rating is viewed as a total jerk, not average. Most people view a 5 star rating as normal, not exceptional.

I think the explanations should be changed to reflect the common practice on this site.

personally, i agree with puppy....3s make it seem I am a jerk; I'd rather you not have rated me at all. You think average is good nowadays? I DID NOTHING WRONG TO YOU IN ANY OF THE 4 GAMES; i said good luck, played with my team, won one lost one (I dont even know what of the two game you rated me on Oct 30th).

We know you left LOTZ to start your own clan...fine and dandy. On the same day leaving me 3s you left Danedome and MROpolo (also LOTZ players 3s); MEANWHILE YOUR NEW CLAN MATES have all 5s....

this is the ABUSE I speak of; if it will make you happy, I will rescind my 5 ratings of you and give you lousy 3s---maybe twos because you dont even have the class to say good luck in a game.

Using your analogy

All the players that left these need to remove them ASAP to drop your 4.8 Ratings to where it should be maybe 3.0 and that's pushing it (24%) win % is no where near deserving of a excellent Rating in any of these areas`s

Then see how many Games you get will be 0 , In short your screwing players, But have no issue with players giving you excellent Ratings Undeserved and that's WRONG ..

With that being said , If I were you I would remove or change any Ratings that were unfounded ..

Just at random I picked that one to check. Sure enough, I find that he did miss 2 turns in the game in question. Not something that most of us would necessarily lose any sleep over, but it does call into question the accuracy of afro's allegations.
