So in my attempts to comply with the letter of your last PM:
-I AM going to LESSEN the private games with lower ranks
-but you leave the door open to joining them in PUBLIC games. If/when I play them, I expect NO BS from CC admin OR the Forum J's
-playing higher-than-private medium-high ranked in private games should NOT be any issue, and so again I expect NO BS from CC admin OR the forum J's
This is strictly about those few vocal people who disapprove of your gameplay. Your City Mogul games gives you away. Do stop addressing my pm's to you as BS since they are for your own good. I am trying to help you, not destroy you. In order to address what some people have been accusing you, we should look at the root of the issue, which is you targeting low ranks, and with your City Mogul private games, you give some credibility with what you are being accused of. The more you continue to target low ranks, people will not stop looking at you as a "rancher". If you are to play and teach them, why not play them on the Classic Map with settings that are more 'user-friendly'? You show everyone that you are giving your opponent a fairer chance of winning against you since the map is not complicated with settings that he is already familiar with. If you are interested in teaching, why not be an Academy teacher? Luring players in the City Mogul map really looks more like ranching than teaching.

I think you should minimize or stop this practice. You already have this reputation of targeting low ranks/fresh graduated new recruits, and inviting these ranks into private games is further pushing your luck. At some point, this has got to end.
You want people to stop "hounding" you for your ranching practice yet you are now inviting low ranks into private games?
In the beginning, there was no such thing as "farming" but some people abused that particular practice that the webmaster was forced to implement a rule to put a stop to what we call "farming".
Don't push your luck in limiting yourself in playing only low ranks to the point that you are already inviting them into private games. You got to ask yourself, when is too much?

3) I am trying to help you, not destroy you.<== this is HUGE. so when I change opponent ranks, and they create AGREED to games, the HELP I get is a BAN? BIGGEST LIE OF ALL
4) "looks more like ranching than teaching" <== I RARELY offered to "teach"; extrapolating a few offers to a generality
5) I DID lessen the games with "lower ranks (=cook-Private)" and moved on to COrp-Captain <== not enough?

Re: DCR/KA, What a bunch of fuggin' horse shit
This is not a lynch mob. I for one was glad to see the ruling passed yet never made my opinions clear. I trusted the admins to do what was correct for the site and saw no reason to toss my two cents into the mix. This is a gaming site, not a democratic country. Having some flexible rules that are open to interpretation are a good thing, in my humble opinion (clearly not yours). To be honest, I actually wish the site would do more to monitor the behaviour of it's players and not always rely upon users to report each other. I know that can't happen amongst the vast majority of the players, but I think the site should monitor the top of the leader board and make sure those up there are doing so on fair merit. That way this whole "lynch mob" claim would not exist. The site would have dealt with it on it's own and not create this in-house mess. Alas...Gen.LeeGettinhed wrote:So far I see a few supports and several general "you deserved it". I do NOT see any good rebuttals of the dozen points I made. Just goes to show lynch-mod mentality and no logic to it.
I'm not going to go through all of your games and post evidence, that's been done before. But, reading the letters from KA, he makes it clear that you should not attempt to attract players to your games with fog/freestyle settings with the notion that you will "teach" or "help" them learn the map (which you have done). To truly help them with those setting and a complicated map, one should start sequential/sunny, no? And a great suggestion by KA, join the SoC! Give back to the community as opposed to take away from it.
Whatever. My guess is that this is all a futile effort. Your opinions are clearly set in stone. Thankfully they're not the ones the site abides by.

Re: DCR/KA, What a bunch of fuggin' horse shit
I have been following this for sometime now. I honestly could not tell you why either. Personally I think get rid of the conquer title.. As it has been stated he is extremely good on choice settings, which gives him enough wins and points to reach the top.. It is probable that if you take this map choice and settings away and gave him another map that he would lose the conquer title,,, but give it a little time he will gain vast knowledge on that map and probably rise to the top again..
If there is a conquers title have a yearly tournament, even change up the map at the beginning of the year and let everyone know what the settings and map will be.
GLG don't know but my suggestion is play the map you like and learn another map once you become proficient on that map move to another... and so on.. nothing saying stop what you are currently doing but try something else... everyone prefers to win then lose that is life

What was good about the Farming rule is that it was SPECIFIC. Gross Abuse interpretations recently are NOT, but subjective to The Lynch Mob
And yet you continued to farm even though it was SPECIFIC and you knew what you were doing. So then you decide to go around what KA said to you,and your mad because gross abuse isnt specific enough for you to get around.
Start the poll GLG or I will just to see how many thought you were a cheater that got away without a point reset. Mob rule no,just good CC justice by admin, and able to bring heat on you again with gross abuse just in case you think you have another trick up your sleeve. You might want to think about changing that avatar, thumbing your nose at admin isnt going to help you.

Re: DCR/KA, What a bunch of fuggin' horse shit
It's not like this is the first time this has actually happened in the world
(probably a poor example, but meh), the National Hockey League actually did almost the exact thing with an incident. I won't go into details, but the offending player did a tactic in-game, a lot of people griped, few thought it was unique. Following that game, the NHL passed a rule stating you can't do that anymore. Did the player whine and complain, then try to twist it so he could continue? No, he decided to go back to what is in the rules.
You could argue this doesn't apply, bit I think it does, considering its basically what happened here.

Well, now we know. Don't what you've been told multiple times to not do, and it shouldn't be a problemGen.LeeGettinhed wrote:The differences are:TheForgivenOne wrote:It's not like this is the first time this has actually happened in the world(probably a poor example, but meh), the National Hockey League actually did almost the exact thing with an incident. Of course, from case to case, you can argue the semantics (they were slightly higher ranked, not new recruits, etc.), but that misses the big picture as you get lost in the details -- the way you would find, approach, and play the games was abuse.
GLG, I remember when we first played -- you said it'd be a teaching moment. During the game, I felt like someone threw sand in my eyes, turned off the lights and was beating me, all the while saying "I'm here to help!". These repetitive tactics to get easy points is what I'd consider abuse. The rank of the individuals is secondary.
Also, we're not REFUSING to be clear on the topic, I'm certain. We don't enjoy handing out disciplinary actions, we just see it as something that has to be done. That being said, this particular issue is something that is hard to be super clear on. As with any rule, those who step closer and closer to the line raise flags, and then it's sometimes deemed that those rules/practices should be broadened. I believe that your case is an example of just that.

As much as I want to share your personal perspective of things, you have been found guilty of gross abuse of the game when you regularly created private games to lure unsuspecting players to certain settings and map that they are unfamiliar with.
After further discussion with the other administrators and moderators, we have concluded that what you are doing is already gross abuse of the game.
Private 1 vs 1 games are as follows: (deleted to save space) . . . and the list goes on...
This has got to stop. This is your one and only official warning to stop doing this. If you continue to create ways in order to lure unsuspecting players in games where you are at a great advantage of knowing it, while they don't, we will see it as another severe infraction. Do not do this again and I highly suggest that you especially put a stop to it from this point on.
When this is over and you are no longer doing it, perhaps people will also stop pestering you for this practice.

NOTES:
1) I want to share your personal perspective of things <== BS, for sharing perspective you SURE have a strange way of showing it. Or is the ban for me asking/making you delete personal name references?
2) gross abuse of the game when you regularly created private games <== ban was for games I DID NOT create, THEY created after discussion
3) games to lure unsuspecting players to certain settings and map that they are unfamiliar with. <== how was ban about LURING, when maps and settings were DISCUSSED beforehand?
4) create ways in order to lure <== Discussing games befoer hand is NOT a creative way to lure
5) we have concluded that what you are doing is already gross abuse <== OK, so let's PRETEND you were right; how is changing OpponentRank and THEM creating the games now bannable abuse? for crimeny sakes, those were MAJOR differences.
. . ..OK, so now MORE rebuttals, none of which have I seen INTELLIGENT responses to yet

Re: DCR/KA, What a bunch of fuggin' horse shit
This is not a huge difference. It was the same map and the same settings. The ONLY difference was that you sought these people out BEFORE the game was set up and instructed them on what to do. Previously you set the game up and THEN sought people out. In fact, as I type that, it now seems laughable that you can't see that for yourself!Gen.LeeGettinhed wrote: The differences are:

KA,
1) I'll take 90% chance of losing to get 9-16-25 times my loss risk
2) I wouldn't like it? BS. . . most DON'T CARE, check one of my first games by a ????Ninja -- and he did EXACTLY that to me in an early game. I chose to learn from that and not play him or others. but I played the first time with no crime committed. AND you listened to 11 of 1600 opponents??? jeez.
3) I almost NEVER played cooks, and fewer and fewer privates (more corporals/sergeants) -- rarely cadets. Again, you believe the tar and feathers. Most opponents were 100-800 games.
So:
- what's the lowest ranked player you think is reasonable?
-what's the lowest # completed games you think is reasonable?
-if they set up the games, is that less of a problem?
-remember, I NEVER sent invitations . .just used CC tools.
Be reasonable dude

the more I think about this the stupider it is:
- your formula of loser/winnerx20 causes hyperbolic points calculations for losing to lower ranks
- to offset that, of course I want as much advantage as possible: 900-1600-2500% point differentials
-to even out settings, why not even out the scoring?
Your interpretation doesn't address that.
I don't care what people think. .but YOU should stop their bashing. <== THAT'S against the rules, not what I did. it's really none of their business. You all created the scoring system, I just thrived in it. Are you two THAT weak in the back bone?
GLG
Thank you for your message. Then play higher ranks if you are so concerned about points and stay away from cooks, privates and the similar ranked players. You should not regularly find games where you are about 90% at an advantage of winning the game (against a low ranked, map of your choosing, setting of your choosing, etc.). I'm sure you wouldn't want that to be done to you, yourself.

Notes:
1) I CLEARLY asked SPECIFICS on # of games experience and ranks -- did NOT receive reply, evidence of KA and admin abusing the rules
2) nor does he address HIS hyperbolic points formula -- that I just happen to thrive on.

Re: DCR/KA, What a bunch of fuggin' horse shit
lol, Lol, LOL. . .I just watched "Billy Jack goes to Washington. Striking similarities:
- Billy Jack = GLG
- Washington = CC
- Baily and co. = CoF and CCCW
- Senator from same state = KA . . .claiming to be BJ's friend, then framing him
- plot of framing BJ, who did NOTHING wrong, but stood up to Lynchmob = recent GLG ban
hang on, maybe I'll watch Sponge Bob Square Pants and see another analyogy. . . .

Why the f*ck is this still an active topic...no one cares for your cheating shit man...Get it through your head....no one likes you or what you do and how you go about getting points...No one thinks you deserve to be conqueror..Or think you are actually a talented player.
Just shut up....

Gen.Lee Gettinhed, you sound like a broken record.

more non-sensical "you're wrong", but no logical discussion of the differences between the warning and the ban

debate challenge: GLG vs DCR+KA
hey, while I didn't agree with the warning, I DID change who I played and how. King Achilles and Deathcomesrippin should debate those 12+ issues listed on "fuggin horse shit" publicly with me. . .and we'll see who's right -- and how much BS that 30 day ban was.
ANY other comments, other than KA/DCR specifially defending EACH of those items should be considered annoyances. Support is welcome, as always. Detractors had their fun with C&A and extention.

You know, that is a GREAT quote, but YOU:
-burn the constitution of CC when you FLAME
-burn the constitution of CC when you claim GLG cheats but plays by the rules
-wrap yourself in the flag of "abuse lynchmob"
Sorry state of affairs
You obviously either don't understand sportsmanship or are to narcissistic to stop trying to convince everyone you are right. Please by all means continue to play the exact same, or some minutely different style of play as you were before. You may or may not get banned, but you will certainly get the attention you seemingly crave. At the end of the day if that is what makes you happy go for it!
Oh and please

GLG, why don't you put up a poll, who agrees the ban was fuggen HS and who thinks it was justified?

GLG, complaining won't get you anywhere, especially in this way
Chill your boner, dude; we don't need to see that.
