This was less than a week ago. 35,000 people showed up to volunteer their time and money in Dallas Texas. These people filled up 14 semis full of food and dropped it off to the 14 worst off communities all around the country. They are filling the semi's again. They have been filling them since before you became the new pimpdave.

These people know exactly what Jesus said about helping the poor and hungry and homeless.

The point stands. This was a record sales day across the US, not just in Texas.

Considering the Restoring Love volunteer event was the largest ever single mobilization of volunteers outsides a disaster area, I'm pretty sure it would also count as a record.

No, not exactly. Phatism is a mental disease, and the victim's outcomes may resemble trolling but are most likely not intentional.

Signs of Phatism may include: intentionally distorting the opponent's argument, posting pictures that loosely or sometimes do not at all support one's stance, resorting to logical fallacies, refusing to acknowledge or concede on anything, occasional lapses into monologues, etc.

Trolls can do the above, but they are "healthy" individuals; whereas, the victims of Phatism are not healthy. They're suffering from a mental disease which impairs their ability to reason. Besides, efficient trolls are classier than these sick individuals.

I think you're all missing something. Jay's the only one with balls to say that this is an issue with religion. Everyone else is trying to pretend like it's a social issue where the Religious right just happens to be united on one side.

Oddly enough, the 10 commandments does not list every sin. Homosexuality is sin. Spin it anyway you wish, but sin is sin. Sin is not defined as something which harms other people but rather sin is disobedience to God. God has said, homosexuality is "detestable" to him. I'm not going to argue with him.

But didn't he say that in the Old Testament? And didn't Jesus come along to replace the laws of the Old Testament? Leviticus also says that you cannot cut your hair, have tattoos, or wear clothes made out of multiple fabrics. People ignore those laws, but then want to apply the anti-gay one.
Jesus himself didn't mention Homosexuality a single time, and that makes me believe that it wasn't important.

True, socially gay marriage does not effect me so its not an issue for me, socially. Spiritually however, it does warrant a response on whether it is right or wrong.

Jesus didn't "replace" the OT laws, he fulfilled them. In the OT there is a list of clean and unclean animals (to eat) but after Christ came it made all animals "clean". (I forget where the verse is on this but I remember reading it)

The Bible speaks for itself. With 1,000's of predictions already have been fulfilled or have yet to be. You either believe that it is the Word of God or you don't. (Mind you, just because you don't believe something doesn't mean it's not true)
