Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD (Contest Winner) FULL!
It occurs to me, in hindsight that some of these maps being larger, the round limit should be 30 instead of 20. Any objections to changing this in future games I create?

Round 3 - Second Jump
8 victors leap to the New World and are only 3 wins away from the finals.

Meanwhile 8 losers & 8 victors return to Conquer Rome to clash again.

And 8 losers go back to ancient Greece (Peloponnesian War), hoping for their first win of the tournament.

Apologies for the delay. I just moved in with my girlfriend recently and have been very busy, but things are settling down and will be creating new games soon!

Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD (Round 4)
Round 4 - Third Jump
4 savvy players have slipped through unharmed and are headed to the Steam Age. Victory here guarantees a spot in the finals...
]
...12 others will get their first (or second) taste of the brutal Middle Ages...

...12 will again battle in the time of Alexander...

...and 4 poor souls slip all the way to prehistoric times. A win here keeps their hope alive. A loss equals permanent isolation.

Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD (Round 5)
Round 5 - Fourth Jump
Only 2 players - lurkerleader & ejph remain undefeated. Both will move on to the final round, but first they must face off to determine ranking & bonuses. They'll land in the Eastern Hemisphere during a time of revolution & war.

The 2 they defeated will face 6 victors fresh from the Middle Ages as they dodge arrows & muskets in the New World.

12 players find themselves back in the drop zone - Conquer Rome. A place so nice they went there twice?

8 others battle in Ancient Greece, with a slim, but not impossible, chance at winning it all.

HighlanderAttack & Balfo lost their final battle and now remain forever locked in pre-historic times, where every day is a battle.

Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD (Round 6)
Round 6 - Fifth Jump
Lurkerleader is our first finalist, followed by ejph. Congrats to both. They'll each receive a win bonus (5 and 4, respectively) while they wait for their other opponents in the finals.
GreenBaize, traffic133, Tupence, hopalong lost in Ancient Greece and will remain there for the rest of their lives. The rest battle in either Alexandria, the Dark Ages or the Steam Age.
Also, magneto_acolyte has replaced Leitz.

Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD (Round 6)
Or not. Two players in the Alexandria era this round have dropped the tournament and both reserves I've tried to contact since have not responded. It makes no sense to seek out more reserves when they could lose their only game and be out of the tournament.lostatlimbo wrote: Also, magneto_acolyte has replaced Leitz.
Instead - to keep this moving - there will only be 8 games on Alexandria this round. This will create an uneven number next round (with one player getting a bye), but back on track by round 8.

Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD (Final Round - 2040 AD!)
Congratulations finalists... you've traveled through the depths of time to arrive in the recent past... 2040 AD. Most of our audience at home in 2112 AD were not alive during this era before mankind joined together to fend off alien invaders, but our esteemed elders who survived recall the horrors of proud nations imploding and civilizations laid to ruin. People of this time are extremely distrustful and malicious towards each other. Not only must you battle the 7 remaining finalists, but also a world as merciless and bloodthirsty as it had ever been.

Each win on Fractured America equals 1 point and will be added to your bonus points listed below. The inmate with the most total points wins The Race to the Future and is returned to 2112 AD, where he/she/it will be absolved of all crimes & sentences, lauded with riches and revered by millions. The others will be left in this awful time of hatred and separatism. In the event of a tie, the remaining finalists will all return to 2112 AD (All Your Bases Belong To Us) to battle once more and decide the winner.
Finalists:
1. lurkerleader (5 points)
2. ejph (4 points)
3. Domicas (3 points)
4. arno30 (2 points)
5. germwarfare (1 point)
6. plurple (0 points)
7. Momo33 (0 points)
8. lostatlimbo (0 points)
Our fans at home already have their favorite contestants. Know that someone is cheering you on as you face your biggest challenge yet.

Re: Race to the Future, 2112 AD - Grand Finale!
Months ago, 32 life-sentence prisoners were dropped in 4th century Rome ready to battle through the world's worst historical wars with only their wits as weapons. The promise of freedom was their reward, eternal banishment in a primitive past was the price of failure. Through the dark ages, colonialism, imperialism; dodging arrows, swords, cannons and bombs, one contestant stood apart - with 12 consecutive wins and 0 losses. Never in the history of Race to the Future has one player showed such dominance.
