Will see what I can do..will talk with a couple of clans who haven't signed up and try to persuade them. If 32 clans participate it would be awesome, ok I'm on it now..Hope to report good news.

I think ultimately to include LOW yes, I would accept a clan signing up late. It only creates a little extra work for me. (as I'll have started the schedules and conferences planning phase already...) Although beyond tomorrow, no I would not. At that point I'll be a full days work into it, and only have 5 available for rosters, scheduling, and conference completions.

And it is possible to run with 31, but i do not want to do a set up of 31 which is why the rule was put into place for "if we don't fill up to the next setting, we wont take the ones in between". It has been there posted, so those "in between" all knew it could happen that they are left behind. While I'd love to see all participate, its got to follow the structure and have some cut off points.

#30 is where we are at, #32 is next. LOW is #31, and makes weird rules to fit them in which I prefer to avoid. (similar to CLA4 having to make a rule for those with smaller divisions).

However, that being said LOW would be my "reserve" clan in case one of the ones that did sign up didn't end up meeting roster, start up deadlines etc.

I still need a variety of contact information (captains, co captains, rosters) from the following clans:

show: Clans Missing Info

Due date is May 10th.
Schedule and Conference assignments will be released May 10th.
Cheers,

If there is another clan interested in being number 32 we will make room for them on a first come, first serve basis. The clock is ticking.

question, it says basically that team captains turn in rosters and settings etc... then also it says in one place to turn in games. Say game settings are turned in a month ahead of time, who makes the games when it is time? also how are away games recieved ? (meaning do we tell you who we want in what games and you guys send the individual invites or are the game #'s sent to the away team captains with a password?

we will probably play, but give me a couple hours to talk to our leader (know him in rl) and we need to make sure we can meet minimum requirements

Team Captain turns in all info (map, setting, players for each game).
We create games when its time, and invite.
That game information is sent to Away Captains, who must turn in their teams
Those players are invited on the "scheduled date" of the game which must be accepted.

Perhaps eventually it may move to PM's with Auto Joins etc but for now I plan to utilize the invite feature.

Even with clans making their own games would be a mess, like this it's going to be really hard to keep up with schedule.

You guys will have to be prepared for lots of flexibility.

Clan's aren't making their own games, they just got to get me information on time. With the scheduling being out right in the beginning, you can literally plan the entire season ahead of time if you like.

Flexibility is one thing, consistantly missing deadlines so I can't get organized and games out is another thing.
We will see how this evolves.

I know who is making games and you still don't understand how this painful is going to be.

Planning ahead is req, but how to plan people going on vacations, going freemium, etc.

This just a game, not a job, schedule is hard to follow for wars that only come in 2 sets,
we are talking about 4 months with games coming out every 4(aprox) days.

This is me just posting my concerns, that come out from my experience here.

Anyway, good luck to all and have fun!

edit:

I suggest if the game load or whatever becomes too big, that the league takes a week or two brake.
I used it myself in Random League and it was to all-clans benefit.
Don't push anything too strong if it will be hurtful to the event itself.

Take care.

Hey Benga,
I do appreciate / understand the feedback. I'm pretty sure we will do fine and have a few ideas if things are a bit burdensome.

However, 76 sets of 3 in 4 months isn't unreasonable for each clan. While its not a job, the clans have committed to fulfill these games based on game loads and approx schedules.

I don't feel like asking clans to do 76 sets ontime in 4 months is unreasonable, especially when you consider that means I'm creating 6,840 games in 4 months onetime for everyone to enjoy. (57 a DAY, on average) talk about not being a job....

Anyway, I promise to be fair, understanding and reasonable. The idea is to have fun competitively. Like I said, I'll be understanding as long as it doesn't trample the event or create such a burden upon my own self while running it.

Sign up's officially closed. We will be moving forward with 32 teams after some discussions.

BotFM also replied late via PM having interest. They are #33 and will be our "reserve" clan.

Next year we hope to expand the ICL, so those who missed the deadline or aren't involved - we look forward to you participating next year!

Please post all Rosters and 2 contacts for each clan by May 10th if you haven't already done so. Conferences and Divisions will be posted in the upcoming days for review / minor feedback. Schedules should be posted shortly thereafter.
