Chariot of Fire - dubs (REJECTED long ago)

Postby Gen.LeeGettinhed on Sun Apr 29, 2012 9:55 am

So he wants to play a game. Fine. Let's do it -- but in a different scenario. In the spirit of:
- minimizing some of the negative flaming/baiting BS spewn around forum -- by people that have never talked to or played me
- allowing another detractor the chance to analyze up close "the weakest conqueror of all time's" play as a partner

Similar to ljex and I vs mc05025/Kiron: Chari/GLG vs 2 other top ranked players:
-I asked Josko.ri to join me in dubs, but he's busy in rl right now (I tell you that guy is AMAZING)

All I ask is that:
-he be open minded, put aside differences for a single game -- be as "honorable" as he acts in his postings
-we play as a team -- not adversaries going our own way, and not miss turns
-hold off on any personal comment until the game is completed
-we play 2 people of comparable total scores -- no "overly vocal negative detractors"

POSTERS:
-feel free to post YOU and YOUR teammate with score -- be willing to play any map/setting
-keep your negative comments to yourself. Hoping Mods are as vigilant here as when I suggested detractors take it private to Live Chat PM

There you have it: an opportunity to minimize site negativism, reveal the true nature of GLG's play -- all wrapped up in one game. TIckets are on sale in the lobby -- no refunds.

* * * * * PM sent explaining why 1v1 CM Seq Trench was turned down:

you invitation - CM Trench

Chariotteer,

If I recall correctly you sent me an invitation to play City Mogul Trench warfare -- and I turned it down. For several reasons:
1) I REALLY don't like giving games to overly negative people
2) with the +20x8 base differential to the team that goes first, I don't like playing it sequentially
3) I've never played the new Trench Warfare

You may not like how I chose games, but it was ALL about avoiding losses -- NOT taking advantage of people. You totally missed that, like so many.

Also, wtH would I give a game to someone who sent a nasty/slanted "survey" to my opponents, then when only 11 of 1,000 felt bad, think that was a good sample of the population. I posted 20 (of 25 straight recent) opponents ALL who thanked me.

Finally you KNOW you should be banned for directing CCCW people (eddie2/TheGeneral2112, etc.) to look into my PERSONAL background and sharing it in ANY WAY on CC site.

You REALLY need to get a life.

Amazing. 3 days, no reply, 105 reads and NO team challengers (Oh, and I add -- challengers cannot be KoRT). But it is good to see no flaming/baiting.

way i see it is your opening post is a bait towards cof myself and cccw. Let me put this quiet clear in that little mind of yours cof was not involved in the crap of personal info, he did not scheme for cccw members to join him. you got all of your info from a jumped up b~@ch in the cccw who was posting false info in the hope to get a job as a c and a mod... according to her because she was asked from admin on a promise of a position (that backfired because she made up crap. and mods can see the forum anyway so she proved herself untrustworthy.)

if you want a callout do it properly case was closed via you and you are baiting us now. ps most proberly have not responded because they are feed up of listening to your crap.

If you want a doubles game, start one like the other 20k players on this site without abusing the system. Create one and send invites. Guess what happens when you do it that way? Your opponents then have a choice to accept or decline the game. But I guess that wouldn't give you the spot light of this awesome thread. I have played 5-10 doubles games this month and guess what? I didn't have to create a call out thread for each and every one of them.

No one has responded because no one respects you, nor your desperate need for attention.

It's hard to be mad when one's record when teamed with Josko is 6-0. I tell you, Josko is my idol.

In response to you i propose myself, rhp 1, viper overlord and ddgrimes vs you are your most intimidating 3 on the map and settings of:
All Your Base Belongs To Us
fog
freestyle
manual
chained

If you only want doubles then same setting with rhp 1. If you want a different map/settings let me know.

We probably fall short of your criteria but I have a partner that puts us at a combined 6400 points and a team average relative rank of .91.... We are willing to play the best of 3 on any map at any setting of your choice at any time....

I rather liked codeblue's post in the GLG/Fruitcake callout thread and was heeding his advice - as, for several days, was everyone else it seems - but now the can of worms has been opened I feel it's necessary to set the record straight.

Firstly....

So he wants to play a game. Fine. Let's do it -- but in a different scenario.

You had your chance but chose to turn down the invite [insert chicken logo here]. I had even selected your favourite farming map, yet this wasn't enough. Did the 'trench' setting deter you because it was something new? For your information it would have been my first game playing those settings too - seemed like a pretty level playing field to me, with any advantage obviously being yours as it was your 'home turf'. Ah well, I tried. You bailed.

- minimizing some of the negative flaming/baiting BS spewn around forum -- by people that have never talked to or played me

You neither engage in routine conversation nor enter games with regular forum-goers, so talking to or playing with you is nigh on impossible.

-I asked Josko.ri to join me in dubs, but he's busy in rl right now (I tell you that guy is AMAZING)

This made me laugh the most. Rather than do something off your own bat you elect to partner one of CC's foremost team players (and we all know who would direct the strategy) and then go on to ask that the other team has a comparable score - to you + josko - hahaha, yeah right!

Now....on to your PM (bcc'd to KA for some bizarre reason?)

You may not like how I chose games, but it was ALL about avoiding losses -- NOT taking advantage of people. You totally missed that, like so many.

Well that's odd, because that's not what 11 of 12 respondents said when talking of their games against you. Nor is what the majority of people think. Oh, and nor is it in line with the ruling against you. Guess that kinda settles that issue.

Also, wtH would I give a game to someone who sent a nasty/slanted "survey" to my opponents, then when only 11 of 1,000 felt bad, think that was a good sample of the population. I posted 20 (of 25 straight recent) opponents ALL who thanked me.

If this is true then "wth would you be creating this thread for"? Confused? Change of heart? Found an ally who'll help you win? And for the record (even though this has been pointed out to you before yet you've chosen to overlook it) there were just 87 recipients of my PM survey, not 1,000. And of those 87 there were just 12 replies, 11 of which portrayed you and/or your tactics in a negative light. So if you want to bandy figures around try 91.5% - for that's the number of detractors you have in that particular sector.

Finally you KNOW you should be banned for directing CCCW people (eddie2/TheGeneral2112, etc.) to look into my PERSONAL background and sharing it in ANY WAY on CC site.

On the contrary, you should be banned for repeating this untruth. I never directed any search or quest to look into your personal background (thank you Eddie for reinforcing this in your post above). I believe an investigation was conducted by admin in this regard and two people received a warning. I was not one of them. Who you are does not concern me in the slightest. You're on another continent and that's good enough for me.

You REALLY need to get a life.

Wrong. You do. For starters you know very little about me - my lifestyle, my successes, my wealth and the extraordinary things I've achieved in my years. So telling me to 'get a life' is somewhat misguided. I enjoy one of the luckiest and most privileged lifestyles imaginable - much to the envy of my RL friends - so your closing remark is actually laughable and incredibly hypocritical.
Now if you were to apply this same maxim to your own existence: a young parent sitting at home addicted to an online game to reach the rank of Conqueror, not doing so in a social way but rather by investing thousands of hours in private 1v1 games and inviting unwitting opponents to them. 100% personal gratification - that's really all you are about. An incredibly selfish man who is also rather troubled in my opinion. I still can't forget the series of 19 games you created against *netham* - an 11 year old kid ffs (which you knew about) - whom you denied his own map request and never once gave pointers (e.g. don't kill neuts) to help him be a better player. On the contrary you duped him along "Oh you're getting better" and "You're my CC friend" - the kind of chat, amongst a lot more in those games with him, that I find deeply disturbing.

So...how about you 'get a life' or, better still, give some of that precious time of yours to your own children rather than other people's.

As far as I'm concerned this is the last dialogue I ever wish to engage in with you.

You know what I love about GLG. He is so terrible and has a need for self satisfaction that since the ruling came that forced him to stop his games, he has joined FOUR (4) total games. All of which are clan games, but the best part of that is, josko is on his team IN EVERY ONE OF THEM.

He needs the spotlight of the number 1 spot on the scoreboard, yet he knows he is maybe the 2,172nd smartest player on this site and he would never keep it if he had to play "normal games" like everyone else. So instead he plays barely enough games to keep himself active and on the scoreboard, and makes sure he has one of the top 5 team players on the site on his team at all times in order to tell him what to do and make sure he wins most of his games.

Chuck, this isnt problem about desperate need of being at spotlight and want some kind of self satisfaction because other took his lunch money back in the school. we are talking about individual who feels no shame in taking advantage over a kid... thats just sick. completely sick. because we are not talking about cheating or abuse of rules, we are talking about individual who has no problem of taking advantage over a kid to achieve his goal!!! thats not something what normal ppl would do. its like abusing kids, women or animals because someone hit you in a bar and you didnt have stones to put up a fight.

Disagree with his methods all you want, but all I'm saying is that people need to stop misrepresenting the facts...no conqueror would have maintained their score playing regular games.

Ijex,

Two things;

1: agree on toning down the hatred; in fact, I doubt anyone hates the guy-maybe dislike is the correct term.

2: poo-maker, sjnap, jork, scott-land to name a few; none of these players farmed in order to maintain their conqueror status. They did it respectfully by creating speed games for ANYONE to join as there was no invite system at that time; they won religiously. This wasn't a fluke. So I disagree that no conqueror would maintain their rank playing regular games. it's been proven false. Poo was by far the best 6 or 8 player freestyle speed classic player I've ever seen here. Sjnap was the best team freestyle speed player whether doubles or triples that I've ever seen.

Agree with code - let's not turn this into a spitefest. I felt I had good reason to respond as the OP was directed at me and I merely addressed each contentious phrase therein, particularly the PM (that I had ignored) which GLG for some obscure reason felt obliged to replicate.

As for deserving Conquerors - yes there have been a few, as code has indicated above (add comic boy to that number). And there would have been more, very deserving ones, had the top few places not been filled by the less-scrupulous among us.
