Isn't that because most people come here to post about the same religious topic or political statement that they were talking about the week before?

The difference is that we semi-repeat conversations in a single topic, while they semi-repeat conversations across multiple new topics.strike wolf wrote:Isn't that because most people come here to post about the same religious topic or political statement that they were talking about the week before?

Here are some interesting videos that try to tell a story:
This second one is amazing. I would put it on the shortlist for shorts at the Oscars.

Re: the longest thread, thread - Occasionally NSFW
So I've been learning to play guitar...I'm starting to feel my list of learned songs is pretty eclectic yet show a not so surprising pattern...
1. Wish You Were Here (not including solos)-Pink Floyd
2. Knocking on Heaven's Door-Bob Dylan
4. Mother-Pink Floyd
7. Dust In the Wind-Kansas
10. Goodbye Blue Sky-Pink Floyd (This one took me a while)
There are songs that I've been working on or started working. Most because I lose the attention span for them. Like Here Comes The Sun" by The Beatles, "Freefallin" By Tom Petty and Billie Jean by Chris Cornell though the latter is more because I ran into a note I didn't recognize and found I couldn't play yet. Currently adding a Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" to my resume which is a somewhat easier song after learning some finger style. Biggest difficulty I'm having is reaching around the body of the guitar to play one note (15 on high E, 17 on B)

You should get an old bowler hat, and an old suit, and sit outside and play for tips.

Re: the longest thread, thread - Occasionally NSFW
I have an idea for a Trench WELFARE tournament. Basically, it is 1v1, 32-players. The top 16 (by points) are arranged 1 to 16 and the bottom 16 are matched with them so that 17 is paired to 1 and 32 is paired to 16. Then games are played until the bottom player has won more points total than the top player. Then half of each half are randomly eliminated each round. Of course, to actually simulate real welfare, we need some bureaucratic inefficiency. That's where I come in. In exchange for me making up the games; all players ranked higher than me must also play me 1v1 until I have won more points. The greatest thing about this tournament is that it is totally involuntary. You can't sign up! I will just choose, based on some arbitrary standard (like geography) who joins the tournament.
I just need Andy to let me use the automatic join feature of the Conquer Cup to impose my will.

Re: the longest thread, thread - Occasionally NSFW
f*ck.
so I really wanted to google a movie with Michael Cera in it, but I forgot his name, but I remembered that he was in Superbad, but I forgot that title, but I remembered Jonah Hill was in it too, but I forgot his name, but I remembered he was in 40 Year Old Virgin.
And then, once I found Cera's name, I forgot why I wanted to look up his name.
My life in a nutshell.

Another idea for a great tournament. I noticed that Major Command actually allows a no dice option. To simulate that it will be a simple 1v1 32 player bracket tournament. Whoever goes first wins, simple as that.
