Andy,

I have often wondered about your name - and the background of it.. A few questions if i may?

1) Why choose the name Andy Dufresne, is it just a clear coincidence your real name is in fact the same as a very famous character?

2) If it is not - you sign all of your posts with Andy. at the end.. Is your first name Andy, and you have a different second name?

3) If your name was chosen based off the character in Shawshank Redemption what similarities do you feel you share / what made you choose the username?

I would really appreciate your thoughts :)

This is the GD good god man!, not the Newsletter Interview Topic. ;)

Maybe you should suggest an article to the newsletter---maybe you aren't the only one with burning questions, since I think my last newsletter interview was nearly 3 years ago this up and coming April!

I have just a couple follow up questions:

1. If you had to choose between escaping from prison, and not escaping from prison, which would you choose? Why?

2. How can you be so obtuse?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I'm sure we'll interview "Mr. Dufresne" in the Dispatch again in the future ;) I'll talk it over with safariguy5, since he's in charge of the Freestyle section and therefore the interrogations.

I want to know if Andy really has banana breath.

When you interrogate him for the newsletter try water boarding,
substituting banana daiquiris to get to the real skinny.

I'd rather have banana smoothies in place of banana daiquiris!

If this is gonna be moved from GD, why would it go to Off Topics?

I don't think smoothies are capable of achieving the same effect.

I think they've slotted in an interview spot in and up-and-coming issue, but I'll let the newsletter folks confirm when!

Looks like you're answering questions a little early then... ;)

Please keep questions on topic.

Andy, is there a favorite species of banana that you enjoy most? How about plantanes?

Let's say you were stranded on a desert island with a lot of bananas, would that interest you?
